Hi, my ex and I broke up about 2 months ago. Due to circumstances, we did not break apart at all (our families are friends; we broke up as well due to our relationship being long distance, and each of us starting our professional careers), and are still in contact and she regards us as friends. I had a real hard time at first but slowly moved on and got back on the scene.
some of the times asks those type of questions. I think it's something exes sometimes do when they feel lonely and want some ego-boost/attention (correct me if I'm wrong). So she brings out these "shit tests". I don't think I've moved on totally as I still think about her a lot even when I'm with other girls...and when she shit tests me I can't help but give in.

we dont hang out alot but run into each other around town and at some parties(same friends) and fool around half the time we see each other usually situation dependant.

Tell her, that while you will always miss those memories that you shared together, you know that in retrospect, moving on was a good decision and you've made your peace with that.
Tell her, that you understand and she might feel that way for some time. But, soon she'll find that someone else will occupy that space in her heart.

Exactly a clean cut all the way through involving nothing what so ever with her. It is the only way. Without you will hang on. She will hang on. You will lose possibilities. Its tough but you must cut out everything that ties you to her. It may hurt like hell at first but in time you will say hey I should have done this sooner. Trust me you may even appear cold but its for the good.
