I am wondering how long are your texts? Are they like sentence or two, or are they more elaborate? I use them sometimes to build comfort between days 1 and 2, but usually end up shooting myself in the foot. This especialy happens if on the other side is HB8.5 or greater.
I used to be very good in long texts (or so was told) a couple of years ago, but in the mean time i haven't been texting much and have completly lost the skill. When I try to do a long text now I don't get the desired response, if any response. So I was wondering should I cut out the fluff, and turn them more chatlike (write a single statement/question and send)? The goal is to make her interact with me instead of not responding.

All I'm saying is less is more. As in, the less texts you send the better, as a ground rule. There are girls who need more texts than other girls. Calibrate it.

I used to keep my texts pretty short for fear of coming off needy or like I was displaying too much interest, but as I got better at this stuff, my texts started getting longer and I was able to get away with it..

Basically, when ur first texting her, u should probably keep them a little short, until u grab her interest (but sometimes, it'll take a longer text to grab her interest. I do a lot of multiple threading in my txts, because if 1 thing I say doesn't hook,, hopefully another thing I say in the text will hook.)

And ESPECIALLY if shes respond well, don't be afraid to make ur txts a little longer.

Kuja is right about less being more SOMETIMES...If you can explain something in one quick sentence, then of course you dont need to make it long and drawn out.

I usually make my txts self-amusing. So, no matter how long they are, they never really come off as needy...I'll txt girls about funny things I see throughout the day, stuff like that. I also do a lot of role plays with girls through txt.

Thanks for your responses guys! I do multithreading and role playing but seem to be coming of as a tryhard at times. Today, for example, I texted a HB9 (this one was HOT) I k-closed on saturday. The first text was well calibrated, three sentences continuing a role play we did when we met. She responded with interest, asked a couple of questions, but then I believe that I went overboard with role playing and multithreading in the second text because she didn't respond thus making me look weird. :D Apparently hotter and more experienced chics don't respond well to your everday trolling, while the less hotter ones can't wait for the opportunity, and am beginning to see the pattern here. Guess I need to work on it...

It could also be something that you did or didn't do in the initial interaction. For instance, if you didn't qualify enough or properly, than that means you probably just got attraction from her, but no investment, which makes it a flaky phone number. Generally, thats a big problem I see with guys....but it could be other things too..

You should write out your texts on here so we can see what you wrote. That would be the best way any of us could help you.

I think the most important aspect of texting is that you focus on 1 things.
If people start asking you questions & mentioning things in the same question like this:

Hey, It was really fun that night! Are you going out again tonight? What are your plans for the week?

Just answer like this:

Hi & Yes, it was really fun and about tonight. Yes, i think i'll be having some fun in the (Insert name here).

Just make sure u avoid answering all her questions so the text seems more smooth and not to needy. If you give her answers on everything she says then yes, you do seem to be quite needy and she might even be trying to test you.

I dont really think long texts are bad, but try to avoid it at the start, once you've build up a good comfort level, you can go furthur with it.

Make sure you do not fail at the start, if you make a mistake there, it's over and very hard to get your grip back on the conversations, once you've got a good amount of comfort level, you can afford to make a mistake.

Thats why i hate texting, You just cannot correct yourself for a mistake being made.
