And that is why I am all for calling women out on bullshit. Not letting yourself get manipulated and standing up for yourself is fine. My point is we should be better by staying above that kind of nonsense.
Manipulation, to me, is persuasion involving dishonesty. If I'm hanging out with my buddies, debating what we should do on a friday night, and I recommend a bar, I am trying to persuade them to go there as opposed to any other option. If I say "there are tons of women there every time I go," that's fine. If I'm lying, and I only want to go because a fuck buddy of mine wants to meet up, and I imagine it'll be a sausage fest otherwise, I am manipulating my friends.
That is the behavior I find wrong. If a woman is trying to manipulate you, you can call her on it, or just drop her right then and there. Don't counter-manipulate.
