I'm 35, and I've just returned to a major U.S. college with about 30,000 students to get a Master's degree. I got a loft apartment where I can see the campus from my bedroom window, and all the bars and restaurants are within about a 2 minute walk right off my doorstep.

Only problem is there are a bunch of douchey frat boys that live in this refurbished house in the apartments below me. They dip snuff all day long and listen to rap music. Aside from that I am hopful about the female situation when classes start this month. I'm kinda bummed I had to leave the hot girls of SoCal for this, but I'll only be here about 18 months. I think the girls of Socal are much more on guard and harder to pull anyway than much of the rest of middle America, but we'll see.

Has anyone older ever done this? How did you fare? Did you creep the girls out b/c of age or were you well received? Is it easier like fishing with dynamite or does it all depend on your game. Most people say I look more like 28 or so, and they're shocked when I tell them I'm 35. Let me know your experiences.

Just stay away from freshmen. Freshmen women are among the dumbest on the planet. I think you'll be fine if you keep a distance from freshmen women and junior women. I throw juniors in there too because it's really annoying to deal with girls that JUST turned 21 and get waaaay too psyched to do a shot of tequila.

Act on your age without being dull, the right girls will like it. Why do you think many older academics have student affairs?

For A's?

No, seriously I see what you mean.

The whole sexy authority figure position and adding the experience of banging your professor to your bucket list ranks up there too. People usually joke about that, and it very well used to probably be a joke, but I'm willing to bet it is pretty commonplace nowadays.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to hand down their grades.

Grades have nothing to do with it. All girls expect that you are an authority figure, because you are 15 years older. You have seen things, you can talk about life experience. That's the whole advantage of being older, you do not have to live with adolescent crap: who am I, do people find me ok, etc. Use confidence with dignity with authority with cracking some jokes = getting laid often.

You are an old warrior, fought every battle of life, now just trying to enjoy the good things of life. There is nothing more to it.

I was somewhat kidding about the porny grades thing, but I totally see what you're saying. Do you have suggestions about non-frat related places to meet them? I just thought a guy my age trolling college bars might be creepy in and of itself, but I have already seen girls giving me the eye just walking through campus. I won't have general classes with everyone. There are only 10 people in my program, and I suspect they're all going to be mostly male and older.

I'm from the old continent, can't help you with that. Most of the city universities here are well integrated in city life. I still go to fraternity happenings as an old member, and I do well. I just avoid the typical "booze until you are stupid" situations, kindergarden.
Try to befriend the bartender and the regulars, it will help a lot. Before you know it, you will be part of the surrounding and noone cares about your age.
