I really would love warped mindless to be a moderator... He knows what he is talking about and he is knowledgeable and respectful...Never met the guy, just judging by his contributions... Where do we vote?

I don't care for the position I just want the post editing minute extend to like 6'000-7'000 minutes. My vote is for any moderator who actually has the gull to extend the amount of minutes from its shitty 3'000 minute limit as of now.

I'm in support of Genuine. Seems to be the most competent applicant on this whole entire post. Not to mention he's one word I feel the other posters aren't "genuine" .

Warped Mindless is another competent applicant, and if Vitamin-J ever applies I support him to. The rest of the guys who apply are schmucks.

I second what Cold said about Jav. Jav’s nonchalant attitude towards beginners is not a good one nor is it helpful to anyone’s situation. Guido is ok. I don’t know what to make of him yet.

Sincerely,

Gaius

Just popping in to support Jav...
Same here. I support Jav too. Assaulting new members and painting an exquisitely trollish feel to any thread he participates in, he is perfect for the job.

For myself personally, I don't care so much about your post count as I do about your post quality. I am going to take the forum votes system into heavy consideration when it comes to making my decision, so if you don't have any votes to your name, you will not be getting a 'yes' from me.

Also, I'm happy to see people weighing in on this, keep it up guys!

firstly, no mod can do that - as we have said countless time THERE IS NEW FORUM SOFTWARE IN THE WORKS so no changes are being made to the structure/layout/tech side of this one.

Now, on the note of the quote this is a discussion about a new mod(s). Please keep it constructive and on topic, we put this thread here for people to apply rather than just the current mods picking people we think were good and that being the end of it. If people are immature and post stupid things in this thread then it will just get deleted and you wont get the chance to apply or suggest people and you will also be breaking the no trolling rule and therefore will get banned. Lets act like grown ups OK ;)

Anyways, glad to see so many applications and opinions on the subject :)

Well this is unfortunate. Just make sure the new software is capable of yielding to my requests. And furthermore, who is trolling? I've yet to see anyone but "Jav" troll anyone. Ironic isn't it?.

Life has been good to me recently, things are coming together with my businesses and I'm looking at getting corporate sponsorship for several projects that I'm working on in order to allow myself more time to do the work that those projects are based around. It just so happens that many of my projects stemmed from the personal developments that I began ever so many years ago right here on this forum. I'd like to tie it all back together by resuming some duties here, offering prominent members of the forum and the community the opportunities to get involved with the projects I'm doing (no details I can offer at this point for business reasons), as well as making the work that I'm doing available for the people who want to take advantage of some of the most powerful, interconnected and cutting edge tools and concepts offered by some of the greatest minds of our time and several others.

I will continue to be incredibly busy, but now that I am finally able to make a reasonable living doing what I love, I will do what I can as an over zealous, overly dedicated and over the top coach. Hopefully my own adventures and amazing transformations will manage to serve as good examples of how much someone can accomplish with reshaping their life when they stop holding back and pursue what it is they're truly passionate about. I will releasing proper videos of myself and people I hope will blow your minds no later than the end of this August! I know I've said it before, but seriously this time guys, I'm truly honestly back! :)

I take back my application, I'm not interested in the drama associated with being a moderator.

I like that, cause from your previous posts I see, that you're one of the rare people that accualy have their life together and do what makes them happy :) We're counting on you Rye Lee, don't let us down :D

For the modrator thing, if LyricalDream applies, he has my full support. I think that as far as his post go I would describe them as:

- On topic
- Short and concise (it hits the point)
- Helpful

And I think that he really knows to assess which members are posting for the reason "Look at me, I'm here." and who is posting for "I need a little help here."

If LyricalDream doesn't apply, my vote goes to Warped Mindeles, he made a good post on SNL, he makes valid points and imo he has a very open minded view as well as LyricalDream has and I think that for quality moderator this is one the most important things to consider.

Enjoy ;)

I'd like to put my name out there, I know the responsibilities and I know and respect the rules. I take a little different approach to PUA in a "whole life" sense as apposed to just putting on a show for a night. those of you who know me know I'm respectful and helpful.

Thanks a million - Vitamin-J

You're a moderator emeritus.

You don't have to apply, you moron :P

You just have to say "make me a mod again, asshole"

Welcome back.

Applications are still open for 1 (or three? we are discussing this) more mod. I'll be PMing a few of you with requests for more information.

Ezo, are you active again?

I thought that's what I did! Only in a much more diplomatic and friendly manner, hahaha!

I would like to suggest that anyone interested in being a mod might want to consider that what I think is the most important part of moderating, isn't dealing with drama, isn't being strict, forcing people to follow the rules, or anything like that at all.

I believe the most important part of being a mod, is being an excellent role model and leading by example! That means something different to everyone of course; what is a good example, right?

1) Well on this forum I think that being open to discussing something even if you disagree with it personally and it is against your own belief systems but it is important to someone else.

2) Doing your best not to violate any of the forum rules (it happens, we're not all perfect and when I've broken the rules that I helped create, I do my best to be humble and accept the criticisms of others).

3) Doing our best not to say negative, hurtful, personal attacks, or tell people things that may damage their progress.

4) Always doing your best to learn, grow and share that growth and understanding with those around you who desire to hear it. If someone doesn't want to listen to what you are saying, or they completely disagree and your continued discussion will only create "drama" and conflict, then being the bigger person and walking away. I have not always done this; I have had incredibly long and drawn out discussions that I could have stopped but thought I needed to impart value on others who didn't truly want it.

I personally would like to see if we can expand our moderator section to be in the neighbourhood of 30 mods by the end of the year in order to reduce the amount of work that any individual moderator is doing and thus increase the productivity and efficiency of the forum. I think that doing this would be highly beneficial to the moderators, the forum users and the overall image of the forum. This is still up for discussion between the mods, but by creating divisions with supervising senior mods and then moderators who monitor smaller sections that they already spend a lot of time in and are "experts" in, I think the quality of everything would go up and there wouldn't be a big time commitment that prevents some of our best members from volunteering. Anyone want to support this idea with me?

I support this idea. I am a member of a couple large marketing forums who do something similar to this. I'm not sure if 30 is the right number or not, but I agree that setting up some sort of system where you have a few global mod's who fill in everywhere on the boards, along with 1 or 2 section specific mods or even sub-section specific in the case of high volume sub-sections (eg. general questions) could possibly be of benefit.
