I've always had much more approach anxiety during the day. When it comes to a busy night club with a drink in my hand and HB's in every direction it passes fairly soon, I open one or two sets suddenly I feel like I've beaten the world and can talk to anyone lol.

I'm not sure I've ever approached in the day actually.
So, can anyone give me any tips, on openers and routines that work well during the day?
I live in a student town, so there's always HB's around in the day. I like the idea of attracting some HB's during the day, then going to the same club of an evening, I think it would be good for social proof and so on.

direct openers, just honest direct interest, improvise,

hey you, yeah you, nice bum where ya from?

Direct always is an excellent option. Really, any approach is fine.

Just a suggestion from one of the things that I like to do:

If you hold a girl's eye contact for a while as you're walking past, but don't open her with whatever you normally say...

FreshPrince: Hey, girl. I see the way you're checking me out!
Slimmy: I'm sorry,what?
FreshPrince: Oh, come on. The way you were eyeballing me? It makes me feel like you just think I'm some piece of meat. I feel so naked when you're staring at me like that!
Slimmy: I'm sorry.../No I wasn't!
FreshPrince: Listen, that's ok in private, but right now in public in the middle of [a mall].

Then transition into whatever you normally like to do. Good luck!
