So recently me and a friend went to the mall looking to approach women without the general goal of getting their number, but going for it anyways. We just kinda walked up, said "You're cute" and asked for their number. You don't have to tell me, I already know that this isn't a good approach. But it's good to get over AA. We used this technique to try and engage the caveman attitude of approaching, and not worrying about openers and stuff. I actually did get one number just from that haha.

I've stopped the "you're cute" line, and started using some better openers, and tried experimenting with different convo topics. A lot of times I run into awkward pauses where I feel like I have to say something quick before her attention is lost, any help?

Not saying I'm better, but I think that he could use some improvement, like when he says that they should go out and if they have a fun time they could go to his place.

Qualify. If you run out of things to say, ask her about herself, not the typical questions you always get like where are you from or anything like that, but fun, interesting questions. Also, phrase them correctly.
One thing I like to do is after I approach I'll do the whole, "so other than your looks what do you have going for you" line, and a lot of times they'll laugh, but sometimes they take it the wrong way and either get mad or give a weird look. Then I just say, I don't like to judge people solely on their looks, I like to know that the women I meet are as interesting as they are attractive, so, whats something cool about yourself?

Also, NEVER feel like you have to say anything. I'm a huge advocate of building tension, any kind of tension. Just don't let it bother you. She'll say something eventually, and if she doesn't and pulls the 'well, it was nice talking to you' just give her a confused look and say, 'you aren't leaving yet, we still have so much more to learn about each other before we tie the knot', then give a big cheesy grin, grab her hand, and walk over to some other spot in the venue.

Thanks for the advice, and yeah I like Sasha's approach. He isn't perfect, but he works things pretty good. I like how he's able to switch to the sex topic pretty easily without creeping them out.

That's true.

He talks about sex like it's the most normal thing in the world (which it is), and jokes about it sometimes. I like it.

Yeah I've seen all the Simple Pickup. I've learned that joking around with sex is the funniest thing ever with chicks, plus they never hear it from strangers so it's gold haha. I've incorporated a lot of their comedy, not copying it, but branching off of it.
