I'm a newbie here and I'm a little curious as to what some PUAs think of the attraction so many women have toward "bad boys". Now, I've read three books on Pickup: The Game, The Pickup Artist & The Art of the Approach, but there is one theory I've heard years ago that none of these books really touch on. A few yrs ago, I was talking to this girl (via internet) asking her what it is about bad boys women love. This is what she told me:

Women like bad boys for the same reason guys like old rusted hot rods; they want a project. She also mentioned that it has to to with a woman's maternal instinct - when a woman sees a guy shes attracted to acting like an ass to other people or whatever, she then wants to take him under her wing and "raise" him, so to speak. That actually makes a lot of sense to me, but I dont remember reading anything like that in the books I've read.

So what do you guys think? Is this a pretty accurate description of women's behavior toward bad boy types?

You're way off base here. Women want the bad boy because 1) he has sexuality to him. They want a guy who can rock their world in the sack (a place "nice guys" fall way short). And 2) he won't take crap from other guys and he won't put up with her crap either. The "bad boy" is his own man which is very attractive to women.

Women will try to mother him and "fix" him to try to prove their feminine power. If he bends, they get usually get bored and dump him for another bad boy. The more they fail the more hooked they get.

If she wanted a project she'd go for the clueless AFC guy, he's much more "fixable".

this generation of women are just like that now.. imagine it will get worse in teh future.. and becoming a single mom is going to be a common route that women will want to do because they fcking with the wrong guys.
