I just got out of a 3 year LTR so am easing back into the game. And really just learning game, the PUA community is new to me. Read "The Game" and now reading "DYD".

I was walking past an apt building towards my apt building that's next door. I saw this HB8 looking into the bushes. I approach and say "what are you looking at?". Turns out there's a tiny baby rabbit hiding in there. We check it out, I make small talk, tease her. We start walking in the direction of my apt next door. I tell her I live right there (point) so I'll only be a minute (time constraint). I tell her my name (should I have waited for her to tell me hers?) and she says "I'm HB8, nice to meet you" and extends her hand. I ask her what she's up to, she says she's going to a coffee house. At this point we are at my apt door so I say "Here I am!". She was giving me IOIs, eye contact, smiling. In my mind I want to ask her for her digits but I couldn't get those damn words out of my mouth! LOL. Fear of rejection. I was pretty nervous and I know in retrospect I should have; I was being an AFC but it will come with inner game, confidence and practice.

When it was on, I was going to say "WE should have coffee sometime, what's your number?". I also thought I could have used the old standby “it would be good to continue this conversation, you should give me your digits” and take out my phone.

What do you guys think?

Also, I am happy I approached this HB8. That's a big step for me. Soon I'll be # closing and f closing haha.

You did great. Saying your name isn't wrong at all, I in fact always say my name as it is natural that they tell their name. Much better than asking what their names are.

A good quick way to number close is:

"Look you're adorable, and you seem really cool far, so here's what we're gonna do. We'll exchange numbers and if we like each other on the phone maybe we'll hang out."

Its real simple easy, no pressure way to number close.

I really like this! The nonchalant part of "maybe we'll hang out" seems good.
