I see little discussion of direct approaches for 2 sets - whats a good approach? This is for day game, street type environments.

All I can think of is "Hey. I'll only be a minute but I think you guys are cute and I wanted to meet you" or the Apocalypse which I'm not comfortable with - yet.

What if one of them is clearly not the target (HB/UG set) - one couldn't possibly say congruently the targets were cute.

If you open an HB/UG set in the day, must you engage the UG as in mystery method or is it better to get in and out quickly?

Does anybody use a direct approach for mixed sets? How do you get around the obvious issue of whether the targets partner is present?

nothing? I roped a pivot into coming out with me - I just need a direct default approach for 2 sets.

Open the UG friend FIRST by just saying you wanna say something to her friend real quick, and then deliver the direct compliment to your target. From there, just share a bit of the conversation with the friend so she doesn't get bored / jealous, and she'll likely stay and let you chat up your target in peace.

one of the ways i go about approaching 2 sets is to open Indirectly then transition into Direct within the first 30 secs to a minute of the conversation. So heres how it would go for me if I were to use this kind of approach

I open regularly by tapping them on the elbow/shoulder and step in front of them to get them to stop for you.

Excuse me, Hi! (pause) I dont want to be weird or anything but could you tell me where the nearest starbucks is? Get there response and then transition directly

wait wait you guys are taking me way too seriously i just came over to flirt or bc i think you are (insert compliment) to target

then i transition from that with a assumption either about the group or my target and then you can use the friend to indirectly screen your target and hit on her. If she is some1 you want to spend more time with then go for a close. If she is not interested/available i will usually eject soon afterwards and go find another girl who might be interested.

The real reason that i go with the direct approach is bc it is a huge time saver and i know they are interested if they stick around
