If you don't consider this a sticking point, but I wasn't sure where else to put this.
one common denominator between my success from last week, and my very poor game the last four days has been being in state.
Last week I was very in the moment, I noticed sets and targets vibing off my energy, and when I was talking to a girl it was just me and her and no one else existed.
The past few days, I have not been able to enjoy myself and be in the moment. And I'm very subconscious of the people around me. When I've been sarcastic and playful it comes off as forced and not genuine.

Are there any techniques to pull yourself together when your having a bad night, or is this just a small slump that will shake off?

Let me know your thoughts and I appreciate any feedback!!

This does belong here in the Sticking Points board since this is an issue you've experienced repeatedly (past few days counts, I suppose), but, for future reference, if you have any questions about specific, one-time situations, post them in the General Questions board or boards that correspond to where you ran into the problem (like the Mid-Game board if the post is about something that happened in Mid-Game).

In regards to your sticking point, everyone has good and bad days, but the bad shit will persist if you resist your own state. If you're in denial of how you really feel and try to force yourself out of it with FAKE playfulness or whatnot, that may make things worse. What you need to do is truly accept how you are at the present moment so that you allow yourself to move on in a new direction from it. Beyond Pick Up has the right idea with "hey I'm having a bad night" because that's an acceptance of how you really feel, followed by taking action to go in a different direction.

I recommend looking up/checking out the concepts of microavoidance and social momentum by 60 Years of Challenge to fluidly get yourself out of this rut.
