Hi, was just wondering what you guys think the effects (if any) dressing in an alternative way (indie, mod, emo etc) has on getting girls in general? Obviously some styles are more out there than others, but do you think being into an Indie or rock scene for example hinders your chances with 'normal' girls. Thanks.

Dress with a style that you like, it's that simple. If you like to dress in all black with a studded belt and a 6 inch mohawk, go for it. If you'd rather throw on dark jeans, a button-up polo, and a damn fedora, also go for it. Don't try to fake who you are by dressing in a style that you don't even like because you think women will go for it. It's like talking in a way that you don't normally do, they will see through it in a heartbeat.

When it comes to clothing, there are two things to keep in mind. First, take some pride in your appearance. That just means wear clothes that have been washed, dryed, and are wrinkle-free. Second, if you want, peacock to stand out. That just means you need one item that separates you from everybody else. That one's not even really necessary, just a little boost if you want it.

This is just my humble opinion but I think if you are clean, well groomed and styled in a manner that is "intentional" someone out there is going to dig it.

Any time you are talking about a style there are going to be some people that like it and some people that don't.

But I think the key is that you have some kind of style and that your look is intentional and that you put time and effort into it.

It's the people that look like they just rolled out of bed and put on whatever random pieces of clothing laying around under a bridge that are shooting themselves in the foot.

Fxck yeah mate

I work this one club in my city its an alt club plays emo , metal , rock , dubstep ect . Type of guys are skinny tattooed long frindged and pierced guys ( you know the type right)

me I dress something along the lines of this http://www.homorazzi.com/wp-content/upl ... e-cast.jpg
I work out and not to sound big headed im probably the best built guy in that alt night ( im not even that built)

I still fit in because i recognise most of the music and my hair is slightly longish.
but i dont look like i belong fully ( in a way im new and intresting)

The fact is my style works so much in an alt place because i stand out ( peacock theory to its mildest and simplest form) :)
