So if you're enough of a pua fiend you'd have read my intro, i'm pretty much working on confidence as a primary goal but i'll go as far as i can for the sake of learning. (nice and drunk again btw) I was at the club, not checking any girls out, but making solid eye contact (i broke it evey time, horizon or above) 30% of the time, and making a semi sucessful opening (didn't get shut down or visible signs of rejecion) and the girls that did turn me down were like see ya sexy, in a not sarcastic tone, i'd figure they do this a lot to people who act like me. But yeah, i manage to bum a smoke making decent contact with one set (ask the girl for a smoke when the guy is smoking he'll give you a smoke to get rid of you) then posted up against the wall by the door to the club with a smile like i just fucked the world. out of my peripherals i spotted this 9, maybe 9.5 break off this 3 set as they went inside so she could finish her smoke. I pay next to no attention to her, but out of my side vision i could see her looking at me about every 10-15 seconds, for maybe 2 seconds or something, but i just kept on in my own world. eventually i opened with a 'hey, could i get your opinion on something?' She was all ears, attention undivided, i said 'if a dog gets loose, and a car hits it while the owner is trying to catch it, whos fault is it?' i go off into a kind of weak story that if i can rememver the details i'll post eventuallt but went along the lines of i see a victorious looking dog run past as i'm sitting down having a smoke on the street. and the mailman is chasing him (make hyperbolized gestures of the mailman running tired) and the car also after the dog. (pretty much no dialogue exclusions so far). i say how i took this as a challenge, caught the dog, etc. she answers ,y opener question exactly as if i hadn't told a story, i kind of break off and go inside. don't really see her seriously the rest of the night there. was it a dialogue or a game problem or what?

I like the opener, but there was no game beyond that. You approached a single girl rather than a group set because you felt more comfortable, but honestly its easier to start with bigger sets, you don't need to hold the conversation on your own as much. Let her respond to your question before you tell the story, you're just asking her opinion on something, she shouldn't have enough value in your eyes to deserve a whole story yet, that should be delivered as an afterthought after her response, something you say as you're starting to leave.

In her eyes, you approached, asked her a question, jumped into a story she didn't care about (she has no idea who you are yet!) and looked like you were going to cling to her, when all she wanted to do was smoke a cig before getting back to her friends.

It's a good try man, but you got blown out, keep working at it and practice makes perfect.
