A few weeks ago someone asked if being good looking can sometimes be a problem.

The answer is YES.

Of course PU is going to be easier if you're good looking but for new guys (like myself) it can add confusion and here is why:

As soon as I started doing this (9 weeks ago) I noticed that almost as soon as I opened my mouth girls were asking me for my name and where I was from. I was all like "wow! this is the biggest IOI ever, this girl LIKES me! and I didn't even say anything!". This happens ALL the time (I consider myself an 8 )

But the PROBLEM here is that this leads to rapport building without ANY attraction.

Once you go into the whats your name where are you from questions, the convo will automatically become boring and will die out within minutes, unless you have a REAL connection with the girl, which is cool but only happens once in a while... (in those cases I f closed within 3-4 hours)

You CANNOT go into rapport building before attraction! That's like starting at C1 !

You must FORCE push pull for at least a few minutes so the girl will actually be aroused and intrigued by you by other than your looks and to get her into sexual state. This will also keep the rapport stage (which should come later!) sexually charged and not just a talk between two strangers.

So if a girl asks you whats your name or goes into rapport building too early - do not fall into this trap! Also don't jump too quickly to A3, you can't simply ask a girl "so are you adventurous?" after 30 seconds of convo.

I'm not sure that throwing a neg in there is going to do the trick because it's like insulting her after she already demonstrated interest and was nice to you. You should immediately reframe the convo in a C&F way and go into playful ballbusting, possibly by just going backwards to a fun opener:

"What's my name? Are you taking a survey or something? quickly, if a girl that has a boyfriend kisses another girl, does that count as cheating? NO??? Ohhhhh you're such naughty girl I can tell, did YOU ever kiss a girl ? Are you a lesbo or something?? " and start A1, A2 process....

Then count FIVE IOIs before going to A3 ! Then you know that she likes you not only for your looks but that there is deeper attraction and that you covered A2 properly. Prove that you are more than just a "pretty face".

The only other method that can work is going into 60 YC / GW and be very sexual very quickly... I will give that a try too.

This is probably not true for guys who are 10s, I have a friend who is a 10, girls open him and he just asks them "do you want to hookup tonight?" they say "yes" and it's game over. This is probably valid for the 7.5-9 range of guys.

If anybody thinks I'm wrong here or have any other observation, let me know...

Being good looking will take care of the attraction part IF you have any sexual edge at all. Girls will see a guy like that from across the room and think, "I want to fuck him". Then your job becomes not screwing it up.

If she comes over and opens you, assume she's attracted and start playing hard to get. Mess with her, play with her, create tension (in a fun way). Don't neg her, neg yourself in a joking way. This will frustrate her and she'll want you even more. You become the prize!

Even if you're an Adonis, you can still kill it by being boring, creepy, needy or socially inept.

OK... I think we agree. The point of the post is just not to screw things up by going into rapport building too early... it's a trap which is very easy to fall into. Do not skip A2 !
