Hello;

I went out with a few friends last night and I had a new failure! I appreciate if you comment on how I can fix this situation:

After proximity, I approached this set of 3 girls, cool confident and started with jelous girlfriend opener. I spoke for about a min, and they were almost totally mute!!
I kept speaking for a few min and they were so fuckin quite! The weren't moving or seem to be annoyed, they just kept looking at each other and very rarely say a few words.

Now in a situation like that, am I doing something very wrong or are they social retards? It really doesn't make any difference but would you leave the set after few minutes or would you stay and tell stories? When is the time to leave a set?

How many sets did you open before that?

It could be a lot of stuff, some subtle and some not so subtle. Really hard to comment.

is this a rare occurrence for you? or has it happened before? how frequently?

I think ur main thing is ur opening. You should make an attempt to try a more subtle opener. Personally, if im sarging i only do max 2 sets on my own. However, if i am with a wing, 3 sets are okay. As long as you figure out beforehand who's engaging who. I find its very hard for 3 sets, as they've got a kind of group mentality going on. However, with a 2 set its much easier, as each girl tries to compete with the other. With 3 set this is harder, as the girls will be more reserved and looking for the approval of all the others.

In effect this generates a vacuum effect, wherein, for 2 sets, you only have to get 1 girl expressing interest, but in 3 set, you need 2, and so forth.

However with a wing it is different, as you effectively split the group up into a set of 1 and 2, (only works with some openers)

Very simple, they were not 'hooked' to your opener. This can be caused by several reasons:

- they were not in for a conversation with other people, just with each other;
- an opener is no more than an opener: you have to run the whole thing: routine, DHV, false time restraints, number/fb-close, leaving, and come back for second round;
- What are their 'grades'? HB7'? Focus on one or two of the girls,
- Was the 'jelous gf' the most optimal opener in this situation, with 3 girls?
- Body language!

The more I do approaches the more I realize there are 2 sort of sets.
Type 1 its 90% success if I do my routines.
Type 2 is a 100% fail no matter what I do or say. Yes maybe they're are just out to have conversation with themselves.
Do you also think like this? Or do you kind of force yourself to a group even if you know they are not keen?
