When I read the Shopenhauer's essay, my first reaction was: Fuck you, you sexist pig. Then I started LOL-ing because I saw many valid points However, I do see most of his points just as social conditioning in a patriarchal Judeo-Christian based world. Men have made women what they are. The biggest thing that frustrates me with women in our western society is the lack of comradeship among themselves. This again is a direct result of social conditioning. Sad but true. Men will stick together and help each other out, women will stab each other's back.
Another thing, while men have the logical thinking which women lack, women are capable of empathy most men lack. A mother will generally sacrifice everything for her child, while the father may not (I'm not saying this of all men, but I noticed it's often true in macho oriented societies). And this is directly connected to the "charm" of most women. The affection a woman gives is incomparable. This is the reason I'm a dyke, not the sex. The sweet, gentle, mother-like affection from this fragile, tender, beautiful feminine being is what it's all about.
I won't go into debating some other (maybe chauvinistic) points made in this thread I disagree with because I feel it's pointless and it's been done too many times already. Cheers guys!
