Hey, I know, even the title shouts a big no, i'm a complete novice to this game business, but I was hoping more to get some insight from you guys, lend me your experience!

The Scenario

My friend went into a store, its a money lending store, I decided to pop in with him and saw a cute girl working behind the counter so I decided to engage in convo - after asking about their services and joking about with her I asked for her number like - "hey, you know what? I might have further questions about the service you guys offer, can I get your number incase I have any further questions?" she says but stays giggly, afterwards shes still chatting with me, still in a smiley way.

Went in a week later (this would be today) asked about another service they offer, went back into jokey chat, she remembered me and was happy to see me, she said I should have brought my wage slips in so they can see what kind of service they can offer me, I said I have a bad memory and laughed it off, she said she'd remind me everytime I come in, so I said "mmm good idea, but remember I have a bad memory, how about I get your number, that way when I call you, you can remind me everytime?" she started giggling again and said noooo I cant, I said in a jokey way again "so do you think if I keep trying i'll get a yes?" she says "maybe" and I leave grinning to myself.

Is this a dead deal? Can I actually achieve anything from this or am I kicking at a dead horse? Someone give me some insight please and maybe some advice on what to do next D:

Update!

Went in today, following advice from the nice people on the chat here I decided to use some push/pull - as I was doing the pushing last time I thought it was time I made her go for it.

So I went in, saw her booth, she happened to be with a customer and didnt see me as I approached the other one which had another pretty girl there. I spoke to her and as custom she took my name, when she finished typing it, the girl I am trying to pick up instantly poked her head into the other girls booth and grinned saying "You brought your papers right??" I said "oi oi, didn't I say I have a bad memory?" she laughed and went back to her booth. I continued to joke with the other girl and left.

Now same question - what is the next step?

I have never gamed hired gun.

But when gaming regular girls, if your joking around or teasing for like the first 10 minutes, is totally cool. If you ask for a number at this point, chances are, you might get it or not. If you do get it, it might not be that solid.

That being said, drop that whole joking or teasing thing soon as you start getting IOIs. If your attraction game is good, it should be more then 10 minutes, which is still really pushing it. This is when you start going into comfort building. In other words, letting her know you like her more then her looks.

Text book stuff, but it's legit. In comfort, is a good time to number close. Chances of her saying yes is likely to be high and is gonna be a lot more solid.

If you stay and joke or tease for too long, you are just gonna be a dancing monkey.

doesn't seem you're doing too bad and I agree with the advice above. For me, "maybe" translates to "ok, but not yet, attract me more, then we'll see"....thats all I can add!
