I get that a lot from girls through txt.. I know its not a negative comment but What does it mean? Am I being way too funny? And not enough cocky?

It's a non-committal response where for whatever reason the girl has no particular desire to keep the conversation going.

It really has nothing to do with whether you were funny or not or whether you were teasing enough.

Normally speaking you can take it as her saying 'this conversation is through for now'. How you respond to that is up to you, you can keep it going, you can think about what you said that made her not bother giving you a quality response, or you can wait another day and start again.

hmm interesting.. so it could be many different reasons..

either something i said or some outside reason; she was tired, didnt know how to respond,

let me clarify the scenario:

she was walking in the opposite direction from me.. we made eye contact for a sec and she looked away.. shen she got close enough i open with "hey, are you shy?"

she stops dead on her track and starts speaking to me, infact asking me questions.. so we talk for a bit, i joke on her purse a lil and find out that she works at the mall. i tell her i have to continue shopping but she seems cool. i get her facebook info.

she says, "add me or i'll add you. whoever does it first."
i havent been home for an hr when i get a notification of a friend request. i wait 5 hrs and add her and leave a message with a point system frame that goes something like this..

"hey spanish girl (she's not spanish, i just call her that cuz she looks spanish.. she's mulatto) i see that you found me. you get 2 points for that.

it was actually nice chatting with you..

btw nice shoes in your profile pic. you get another 2 points..

ok so you have 4points already.. keep it up. if you get to 10pnts then i just might exchange my number with you.."

-now i thought that was cute/ funny and challenging to her (most guys wouldnt talk to her like that)..

and all i got was the "your too funny" response. so i responded with:

"thanks im glad you noticed. ok here's a chance to earn 2 more points by telling me something cool/interesting about yourself"

we'll see where that takes me, but either way it's a learning experience.. the next time i see "your too funny".. i'll take that as a warning sign
