You've misread that about humor. Being funny in order to get approval is supplication; it's being their entertainment monkey. Compare that to the guy who is constantly making jokes at their expense; he's not supplicating, is he? He's a fucking asshole. Now, if you can imagine those two extremes being on a line, there's a point right in the middle. That's the guy who makes jokes to ease tension, capture attention, and takes that attention into what he says next: something to further the seduction. He's the guy who sets up a running joke and knows when to call on it, to direct her attention and to interrupt her thought patterns. If she is eating out of your hand, would it be supplication because you're giving her food?
It's all good what you're saying. When someone pulls that off, it's gold. But I'm talking about 95% of the guys and cases, and what is the underlining female behavior. If someone comes and swipes them off their feet with the type of game that you are describing, that's cool and I guess that's what reap PUA is about and I hope to get there within a year... but what I'm describing is "female behavior" under "normal" conditions.
