So I did a direct approach at the mall on Saturday...got a number and texted her for the first time Monday.

Then she responded with some fluff talk and then said something along the lines of I don't want to lead you on, but I just got back together with my ex yesterday etc...

Is this just an excuse? Should I keep pushing or just move on (I'm probably doing this)

Perhaps I closed too early at the mall? (it was about 3-5 minutes of interaction)

Basically, just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this....

If she says shes back with her ex. 99% of the time shes tryin to work it out with him. Not an excuse, keep in touch and see if she ever breaks back up, but you dont want to get inbetween that or seems pushy/needy (sayin "yea just skip out on your ex to see me" woulnt go good in her book)

ahh I understand now...how long should I wait to reach her again? And what should I now say? ("You wouldn't believe what happened...") something like that? lol

Play the waiting game, or perhaps try some Straw Man Technique / BF Destroying.
Its either gonna be a) working her confusion to your advantage or b) if her head is twisted up by this BF very difficult...

Me? I'd probably go SMT, if I crash and burn, who gives a monkeys? haha

Hey.

The same thing happened to be got a girls number text her the next day,
Was getting really flirty and the next day I got no reply.
She then text me back saying she is back with her ex, so I carried on like: so how long is it gunna last this time and so on.
After a while she just said keep my number safe il text u if it goes wrong.

I don’t think there was anything else I can do with that but just move on and have that as a backup if things go wrong with her.
