Ok, so I am new to all this and only stumbled across this world because of "The Game" by Neil Strauss.

Here is my story.
I met this girl for the first time as she worked in the local Garage and i needed a chocolate buzz. I went to pay and started making a conversation about her lip piercing.This was before thinking about picking her up. She gave me IOI's but was too chicken shit to make a move. As I drove out of the garage I noticed she had been staring and smiling at me but drove on.

I came back 4 days later with intentions of picking the girl up but yet again pussied out with her smiling at me yet again.

The next day I sucked it up and went in and made conversation about my lost wallet and whether she had seen it about (not a line I really did lose my wallet) and she gave me IOI's again so I asked her out and gave her my number which left it in her hands.

What I would like to find out is:
1) Is it a rookie mistake to leave her your number giving her control?
2) Should I go back to the garage after a few days and find out whats happening?
3) How should I tackle this dilemma?

I am most probably the worst person in the world when it comes to women. I talk complete nonsense when I am nervous and need to break this.

First off, let me tell you that I know EXACTLY how you feel. I was there myself not too long ago. So take a deep breath, calm down, and pay attention.

As far as this girl is concerned, at least she knows you're not a 'player', seeing as how a 'player' would have attempted to be all over her pretty quick. Now, as far as giving her your number, it's not an ideal situation, but still one that you can salvage. I would come back in a few days (2-3) and neg on her for not calling you (assuming she doesn't call you).

But before all that, put some serious work in your inner game. The sections in this forum, along with David DeAngelo's work are priceless when it comes to inner game. Once you've got that handled, the inner confidence will radiate outward, making the rest of the pick up 'trade' easier to get a grip on.
