For my new job, I have to take bus and subway for an hour every morning. During these rides, I noticed how some girls were showing IOI, but I found it impossible to open because of these reasons

1. most importantly, i don't know any appropriate openers for this type of situation
2. she has earphones on listening to music
3. Pretending to read textbooks or school notes

Any suggestions guys?

If u use the where is this bus headed opener, don't follow that up with the you're feeling out of it today. That's just not believable. That implies that u take this route and you've done it multiple times before. People don't just hop on random busses when they're feeling out of it. Confusing 1 number with an entirely different number when you've done this routinely in the very very recent past isn't a DHV spin crazy night. It shows u have Downs syndrome and in my experience, Downs is a DLV.

If u use that opener, she's not gonna ask u how can u not know where this is headed anyways. I guarantee it. People don't know if this is the first day you've ever stepped foot in this country or not. They're not gonna say that kind of shit to a complete stranger unless they truly are a prick. If you're on a nature trail and a girl walks up to u and asks u where it comes out, r u gonna ask her how in the hell she doesn't know where she is and ask her if she's feeling out of it today because there's clearly a sign at the entrance?? No.

After u use this bus opener, she's simply gonna answer the question and nothing else. Then i would lie and say you're new to the bus route, u thought that but u just wanted to double check. Then, U better have a good transitioner right after that and it shouldn't be a question and i would make it have absolutely nothing to do with the bus topic.... but that's just me.

1. If she has iPod on, ask what she's listening to because you're bored with your playlist. Make fun of her shittier music choices, bond over shared tastes

2. If she doesn't, ask where her iPod IS because all the cool girls have one so they don't get hit on by random guys. AW SHIT look what's happened now

Regardless of how you start the interaction, find out where she's getting off very quickly so you know how much time you have to chat her up. You want to make sure that you have enough time towards the end of your interaction to tell her you think she's cute and you guys should do X or Y together later in the week, and exchange numbers.
