I'm not saying she has to win, I'm just saying if you nag her about this, it could have less desirable side effects. You've tried the empathy card "How would you feel if a girl slept over" and she didn't see anything wrong with that, so this tells me that she genuinely feels no harm is done. It's a tough one. You can try one other thing, tell her it's not that you don't trust her, but it's a principle thing for you and the guys are always welcome to sleep on the floor. Well I've run out of ideas. Does she have a couch? I assume she doesn't, if she does, it makes the whole situation different.
I think you read the situation perfectly. She genuinely doesn't see it as an issue, and wouldn't mind if I were to do the same. Which I never would obviously, I don't dig double standards.
She does have a couch... more like a padded chair really. Very small. In fact I know that she might have an extra mattress somewhere. I told her they can stay, they must just sleep somewhere else not in her bed. She still doesn't get it. She thinks I'm being jealous or something most likely. Although in the three months we've known each other a whole lot, and I know that she hasn't had someone stay over.
And it's unlikely that they will, seeing as she's lost interest in that crowd, she prefers being with me.
I have a good feeling that she most likely wont let someone sleep over like that lightly again. I might just once again be trying to make her vocalize something she isn't planning on doing, like cheating. the major difference being, she's against cheating, and not against sharing a bed with a guy.
I think I've decided.
I'm going to say that this is the last time she's going to hear about it, that I don't like it at all. I don't approve. I appreciate if she wouldn't do it. it's not that I'm jealous, I just see it as a matter of principal. In the end, I can't tell her what to do, just like she can't tell me what to do. I trust her, and believe that there's nothing sexual. but she must try understand my side, as I have tried to understand her side.
let her draw what ever conclusion she wants from that. Fair enough in my opinion.
