Just got back from a first date with a girl from a different department at work who (I'm pretty sure) has the hots for me. We were originally gonna go sit down at a place tomorrow night and eat, but my bands practice got cancelled and I wanted to get started with the process of getting laid (she's leaving forever at the end of July, so I can almost assume she wants as much as I do; a physical relationship) We went to get ice cream, she paid for it because I had teased her via text about buying me food. I told her I'd pay next time. We drove around, had polite conversation, albeit not very flirty, and eventually ended up at her apartment. She showed me around the place and I saw her Cosmopolitan magazines and joked about them. At this point she was on her bed, had taken off her coat and had her cleavage out pretty well. But the moment passed (it was our first date, I'm not so bold, and didn't want work gossip about how I made a move the first date), and we stood by her dim lit bar and talked about random things for a good hour. I took off when I said my band had gotten a practice together (not true). I left at around 10:30, the date lasted a good two hours. Just wondering how you guys would take a situation like this to make something happen without making an ass of myself and my whole workplace knowing. Thanks!

I think you did good, as long as you haven't killed the attraction being in her bed and chit-chatting girl talk.
