Facebook is not better than a number close because it is less intimidating. You can add someone on facebook you don't even know, but you wouldn't give a creeper your number. Asking for her facebook makes you seem like you could be looking to just be a friend instead of actually asking for what you want.
Yeah but what if she has a bf? A girl isnt likely to give the number then is she?
She is only ever with this one guy in uni...or alone. And Im good at observing others he is an AFC friend zoned guy sadly for him (or gay).
If she has a boyfriend he might be on the way out. You never know. You might be the replacement. Start thinking in those terms.
I don't think opening really has to be that complicated. Walk up to her and say, "Hi what's your name?". If she smiles or sticks out her hand and gives you her name stand there for a couple of seconds. If she asks your name it is my belief that that in itself is interest. Of course, you have to keep going from there.
Ok I'll do just that...
"Hi, whats your name?""
"*******"
"and yours?"
"****"
haha what would you say next in my position bro.
I hear assumptions are a good way to avoid questioning them too much?
maybe:
"you look like the kind of person who studies ****** am i right?"
then i could talk briefly about exam period SPAM ....how i want to get it finished
then transition into what im doing over summer = DHV?
Im doing festivals so I could move onto music and if we like a similar band etc i could build further then number close with:
"Hey you seem pretty cool whats your number? we should meet up next week for coffee"
