Yesterday, I approached a set and began chatting them up and somehow we got on the topic of weird clothes some people wear. After some talking the girls started talking about MM's peacocking.

I know the community has definitely gotten more mainstream in awareness, but what has everyone's experience with this been? How have you responded?

I didn't use any canned material (mostly because I don't know any) so I just kind've brushed it off and went, "yeah I've heard of some stuff like that, don't know much about it..."

sounds like you handled it pretty well mate. To avoid being stereotyped as a PUA use as much natural game as you can - Gamblers stealth attraction is the best for this I find - but be careful girls can sense a guy who is smoother than AFCs. They'll know you are a player but if your game is as natural as possible and its just flowing and their enjoying it, most of the time they wont mind.

I've only been confronted about it once, and the girl flat out asked me if I was a PUA. After feigning ignorance, I negged her about being conceited that it would take a professional to crack her, and carried on with the conversation

Come on guys....First, I don't think I would call it Mainstream...I have been doing it a year and half and only got called out once and it was because their boyfriends were in the community.

Secondly, there is NO REASON WHATSOEVER to hide it. Unless you think it is a croc of shit. If you believe in it, I sometimes even bring it up as an opener or in conversation. If you can defend it and why WOMEN WANT TO BE PICKED UP BY A PICK UP ARTIST, it is awesome. I am not saying bring it up all the time and I would rarely just offer it, but I have been in many conversations where the girls at the end were agreeing with what I was saying. As Mystery says, "it is a PRIVILEGE to be picked up by a pick up artist."

Completely true. Sadly, I panicked and figured the easiest way out of it was to pretend I wasn't in the Community. Fortunately I'm no PUA, so I guess it wasn't even a lie

The only things I've ever heard of girls picking up on are the standard canned openers and the faggy peacocking and rude "neg" attempts that a lot of inexperienced/uncalibrated guys use. It comes across as very contrived and phony. "I need a woman's opinion on something" has become as much of a cliche pickup line as "So what's your sign?"

Women don't like these guys, but they don't typically call them "pick up artists." They just call them "douchebags." Mystery is a joke to anyone not in the community. I think that Spin actually named him their "douche of the month" when his show was on VH1.

Girls don't mind a player. In fact, when she's feeling turned on she'll probably call you a player or a bad boy because that's her fantasy. It turns her on to be with a guy who's sexually confident and knows how to get a woman worked up. The problem is that some guys read "The Game" or memorize only the most outrageous and extreme things they read on a forum (not seeing it for the KJ and trolling that it usually is) and and go out acting retarded. Those are the ones you want to avoid being.

Love when people try and say shit like this. If I were Mystery I would just smile while these cowards literally speak their insecurities...

I have only gotten "called out" one time n it was last week by a hb9. It wasn't even really calling out she just asked 'how many girls do u get with this' all amazed after the cube n I just smiled n said I was only talking to her now or something along those lines n smiled a big smile. I don't ever say hey im a pua, I just do what I do. Also, most girls r so happy to find someone who is confident in themselves n playful. I will use routines when I feel the time is right n I want to increase bt, but those r just little jolts of fun to increase what im doing. I never go into a set with a 'im gonna open with this then do this then do tohis I just try to gauge the girl n have fun with her. Normally tho, when I isolate I will use the cube, but I tell them its my way to disqualify the personalities I don't like n I tell them if I don't like their personality I will say nice to meet u n walk away. Then I ask if they wanna take it. They always say yes n u can play off of that in 50 million different ways all depending on what u learn n whatnot. I dunno...most girls never heard of pick up, except for when mystery was on vh1 n they forgot about it along time ago. You know how short a drunk girls attention span is. Don't let that trip u up, as long as u come off fun n playful, she will forget she even tried to shittest u, n if u tell her ur into it...whatever, its a win for her.

I avoid canned material, and have never been called out, to start. Look, when PUA material has been addressed by mainstream media, it is usually portrayed as manipulative. MPUAs are considered dishonest individuals who learn how to deceive women in order to get them into bed once and then toss them aside.

let's be honest, there are guys who get a small amount of exposure to this stuff and do exactly that. Men who don't want to improve themselves in every aspect of their lives make the rest of us look bad, and as a result women have had to learn a little bit about it in order to protect themselves from these douche bags. The easy solution is to just not be a complete jackass, guys. Easy example: a tool will read the definition of a NEG and talk down to every girl he meets for the next week. A decent human being who also happens to study this material will meet a girl and make a light-hearted joke to let her know that he does not view her as his better.

This topic is like a kid trying to learn math. You can memorize canned material, just as you can memorize that 2+2=4. But the concept is more important. If you never learn what the hell addition means, you can memorize 2+2, but stand motionless when someone asks you what 3+5 is.

I've ranted a bit, but this is something thats always bothered me enough to rant. If you don't want to get called out, then learn the WHY to the concepts and material you read or watch, and then connect that WHY, that reasoning, with your own personality. It beats repeating a lame pickup line you saw on Mystery's reality show.

Learn techniques from every style you can and then make your own, that way you can find out what works best for you and step it up, it's also a good way to slip through the radar of any girl you want.
