So i met this girl at uni and we were chatting the whole time, i was negging her about how bad of a tutor she was. And basically i leave the tute after an hr and laster that night i start facebook messaging her. Asked her to meet with me the next day for a coffee at uni. She did and we were hitting it off at the start, she was giving me IOI's but than there were probably 3 awkward silences.....the conversation just stopped. We both have class and we head off with a simple bye. Could have been worse but the awkward silences were a downer... Anyways i get home from uni that day and facebook message her:

me: angela lol my bad....pretty sure your the douch for falling over that defenceless elderly lady. Thanks for not doing the dodgy with my coffee

her: Haha yeah poor lady! She was so nice though.
As if I'd run away with a coffee. I'm not that cruel! It was fun chatting with you.

Not sure if this is a fail...or whether i should ask her out again later in the week maybe for dinner? Feedback plz.

Hey mate read that again : "It was fun chatting with you. " its simple just go with that on your mind and it will be easy for you. She is interested in you and about the silence , you mentioned, thats not good but either not so bad but it was your fault. What happened were you didnt talk? eye contact? looking around? drinking coffee and looking down on your feet? And what was she doing during that time?
Are you both new at uni? which year ?
