So, as I progress with my PUA skills I've met quite a few different women. Out of all the women I've met, 100% of them have SERIOUS issues. Co dependent, major depression, bi polar, mood swings, stupid as hell, no personality or bland. They all have something. What's going on here? I can't handle a woman that I can't have a conversation with for more than 8 seconds, or doesn't have anything in life that she likes, or will flip out at me for running in to her best friend at my work and having a casual conversation for 8 minutes or some odd. All my friends have a joke going on that every woman I talk to is going to turn in to a psycho within a week, and so far it's held pretty damn true. Either that or they have zero personality and it's like talking to a wall. How can I prevent this stuff from happening or is it pretty much a common occurrence? Am I cursed?

So you just mentioned that whenever you run into any woman, they're insane! Yeah, that's happened to me a few times on the train, although, they're not quite insane, but just pure rude. Once I was talking to this woman for about 20 secs or so and then she just walked away and all I asked her was, where you off to?

Just remember this though, If you really want to succeed in this area, there are approximately 3 billion women in this world and that's a lot, even Wilt Chamberlain who slept with 20,000 only calculated to be around 0.00067%!

My advice to you is to maybe move and, if you're working, look for a job somewhere else, because I am getting the feeling that you're living in an area where all the women are weird!

I don't know, but I hope this helps!

Cheers

Vay

Women. Are. Insane.

Just keep meeting them and looking for the least crazy one. I'm pretty sure that's what we're all doing?

My friends have a similar joke running about me except in my case they are all crazy AND pill heads.

Seriously, the last two years I have dated 5 women... 4 of whom had pills problems or worse! One of them had been a good friend for 17 years and we dated off and on in that time. Each time we dated was when she was trying to clean her life up. I could always tell when she fell off the wagon because she'd just disappear. Then we got back together when she really did clean up and she turned into a jealous whack job even though before she had NEVER shown jealousy!

So what did I do? I moved. Already meeting new people. Don't have a lot of money to go out with right now though, so I am focusing on a new job situation rather than going out..

Women behave according their feelings, there is no real rationality. The smart ones realize the next day they behaved nuts. Positive side: you can be the controlling element to channel their emotions.

And most of the women that I dated change stories as they feel. Most of the time to avoid responsibility. Even if you know 100% sure that something didn't happen or happened differently. Very exhausting. Especially when I'm 100% rational in my life.

All women are not insane. Repeat until it actually sinks in.

Are some women crazy? Yes. Are some men crazy? Yes. Are there differences between how people of each gender tend to act that may come across as bizarre, disturbing or insane to people of the opposite gender? Yes.

If you're finding that all the women that you hook up with/date/are interested in all share a set of undesirable commonalities, what you really need to look at is your pre-selection process. If the only commonality in all of these different relationships (using the term in a general sense, not to denote an exclusive dating scenario) is you, the problem most likely lies with you--in the kind of women that you're attracted to, the kind that you pursue, the type of women who are attracted to how you present yourself, ect.

Imar, 100% rationality is impossible for anyone. For one thing, our emotions and preconceptions color everything that we do, hear or see--the idea of rationality/reason encumbered by emotion/passion is a dangerous fallacy. For another, claiming that you are rational is an assertion that you are rational by a specific set of standards, most likely decided upon by yourself (or, if not, by some outside entity. It doesn't matter, though, the same critique applies). Those standards are themselves subjective and do not adhere to any absolute, universal set of conditions. One man's standards for rationality are another man's standards for insanity. Unless you can demonstrate that your definition of rationality was derived from completely rational, objective and unbiased means (an impossibility given the inherently interpretive nature of the human brain--everything that we experience is unconsciously imbued with meaning by our brains. Without this interpretation, we wouldn't be able to function in the world--it's why, when we see a horizontal slab of wood supported by four vertical beams, one at each corner, we see a table rather than an object to which we can assign no function or meaning.), your standards are themselves flawed, thereby negating your claim of being 100% rational.

@ what melissa just said, about both genders being equally crazy (i paraphrase, of course)

i've been in a hell of a lot of arguments with women, at times i've lost my fucking mind, yelling, screaming, slamming shit, whatever...it ain't good...never once, never once, have i ever declared that "the grass outside is purple" and stood by that statement until my dying breath.

i've met dozens of women who would declare that very statement, and declare it with ENTHUSIASM AND FERVOR!!!

Hello Melissa. Apparently you read Foucault or some other postmodern thinker. There is no real sane-insane division, it's discours, people create standards as a control mechanism, I'm not aware of the representation of the self and how I do not deconstruct it, etc. It's an argument of authority, but with a purpose: I know what you are saying. I'm doing a phd regarding deconstruction and representation. I read all those works. And mostly I agree with your line of argument.

It will be a big shock to you, but yes, I am a feminist. I regard everyone as being equal and will not see myself as the better man. Why do I write this anyway? Because I also do believe in trying to be objective about a situation: analysing the interaction between people and their structures. How they think, how they act, the influence of social structures, the permanent changing of every situation, etc. That's my rationality. And we can debate about it. I'm a firm believer of the universal goals of Enlightenment: scientific thought will set us free. There is no other option. But I never, really, never encountered a woman who can detach her emotions from a necessary objective, clinical view to solve a problem in daily interaction. It's always with the drama. And I, as a man believing in Enlightenment, have three choices: I go with the drama, I don't give a damn about the drama or I'm being pragmatic about the drama. I have chosen the third option: I'm just trying to figure out how to handle people in the most effective way, without being unethical. I'm not going to manipulate people, I just try to follow my own ethical standard. And I'm completely honest as I'm rational. If I want to have sex with you, I'm not going to open a box of magic manipulative tricks. You will know that I want to have sex with you. But you also have a lot of assholes who do use them, just because they know how to manipulate women with their feelings, and everytime those women will not see it coming. On the other, me as being a rational guy, can tell immediately what that guy is doing.

That's the difference in a nutshell and my definition of rationality.

Imar,

I've never read Foucault, actually. I'll admit to have a passing fondness for Gadamer (his ideas, not his language), Nietzsche and Karl Popper.

You may agree with parts of my argument, but I think that we disagree about the main conclusions. Pure objectivity is impossible. Analysis cannot exist in a vacuum--you must interpret to some degree or another in order to be able to analyze. Otherwise, everything remains at the level of random stimuli--words are not words, but merely the combination of various sounds; pictures are not pictures, but merely the random combination of colors with no discernible pattern or shape. As soon as you say, "oh, those sounds equal this word," or "those lines create this image," you've interpreted something. Our interpretations are derived from prior experience and knowledge, both of which are nonobjective. The nearest that anyone can come to objectivity is a poor facsimile of it--the conscious attempt not to allow your prejudices and pre-conceived to bias your opinions, an effort that is automatically doomed to failure, valuable only insofar as it is recognized to be incomplete and flawed.

The western dichotomy between emotions and reason has always been fallacious--they cannot be separated in the manner that people constantly claim. Humans do not have access to reason unencumbered by their emotions and passions. Freely-chosen and loved pursuits, even those that people use rational means to pursue, are born out of passion, not logic. Civilizations rise and fall because of the either intentional or unintended consequences of people's actions, actions that are themselves derived from underlying motives and beliefs, the foundations of which are born in the realm of emotion, not logic.

I'm not advocating that we all sit around and sing "Kumbaya." Lest my argumentation style leave any doubt in anyone's mind, I rely heavily on both the scientific method, insofar as it is applicable to philosophical arguments, and some version of rationally when formulating my worldview. That said, everything is inherently colored by my beliefs, biases and feelings--a truism that holds for everyone, regardless of whether it is recognized or not. I have long been an adherent of the school of thought that the truth you recognize, even if unpleasant, is far preferable to the truth that you do not.

not much subjective about purple grass, lol

it doesn't need a lot of room for interpretation.

men and women are sorta crazy in different ways. the stereo typical crazy woman has a whole life of pressures and threats that are shaped by the society they've grown up in. and a lot of that 'crazy' behavior is just them reacting to all that. men have a whole different role and different threats and pressures so we act 'crazy' in another way.

u can look for someone who isn't touched by all this somehow but it's rare to find anyone not damaged by the world, and it's gonna be even more rare to be physically attracted to them too.

what i've found i gotta do to keep sane is to see if i can figure out where this craziness is coming from and what the person is reacting to and what they are actually trying to tell me. cuz besides people afflicted with true mental illness, they are communicating something. and people are happy to have that be heard and understood instead of another person just reacting to them back.

some people who seem crazy are just sociopaths tho and they really don't care about nothing and no one but themselves....
but to recognize that, u gotta start really listening to everything a person is saying when they are in front of u, not just their words. and really think of what's it's like to grow up as a woman in society...it's a lot different from men. i'm not saying women are better or should be able to get away with anything they want and blame it on that, but it's a lot different and, in general, it's more traumatic.

I am old enough to have fathered many of the people on this forum.

For all YOU know, maybe I did...

I have dated many, many women. I was involved in the porn industry for many years and there I dealt with many MORE women.

The women in the porn industry-- that is to say, sex addict coke fiends and pill heads-- were HANDS DOWN more normal, more sane and more pleasant than the women outside of the porn industry.

And like... that's really, really saying something. Although many porn chicks are the nicest women I ever knew they are crazier than shithouse rats.

Women are not crazy. They are BATSHIT INSANE.

Hi Melissa,

I like Gadamer and Nietzsche. But both lack the reconstruction of the social (the unity of thought and praxis). That's why I'm a Hegelian marxist. ;) Gadamer's hermeneutics recreate the singular of that interaction, but at the same time it's stuck within its own reconstruction. You need to translate the understanding of the concrete in more universal abstract concepts. The concrete can never be explained by the concrete. I don't like Popper, falsification does not eliminate the old questions of the verification procedure. And he didn't understand Hegel or Marx.

It depends what you understand with objectivity. It's an abstract totality based upon continuous changing human interaction. Objectivity is never finished, it creates itself during that change. You need to go back and forward regarding observation, abstraction and interpretation. I interpret daily situations with abstract concepts, very simple basics about human reality. How else will you progress in obtaining new knowledge? You have the security of "everything is relative". But do you explain something besides understanding? I can perfectly give you a "genealogy" of those words, but nonetheless I'm able to explain the meaning in their proper context. By using abstraction. Will it be on the mark? Not always, but I'll try to find that objectivity. By doing that, I discover my bias. That's why I like discussions.

I now know that I can find ways to handle drama in concrete situations, because I did think about it. A lot. And it works. My objectivity has been created by necessity.

speak for yourself, please.

i've been through more than most women could imagine.

how exactly do you make the wide-sweeping generalization that life is "more traumatic" for women than men.

men have to take care of ourselves
men have to fight
men have to pay the bills
men have to go off to war and sign up for the draft
men can't show emotions
men can't claim rape
men usually don't get the kids
men usually get fucked with child support and alimony
men are usually "the bad guys" no matter what
men die sooner
men don't get any breaks for "being a minority"
men can't hit back

i could go on with this list until the end of time, dude.

in my family, i grew up ... fighting ... only dad only hit "his sons", not his precious daughters. tell me it's more fucking traumatic, my ass

i've been through homelessness, drug addiction, abuse, cheated on, lied to, fucked over, stolen from....

shit.

just shit.
