I have another question for you. After getting a girl's number, I will usually text her in 2 days, mentioning my name, how I know her, and when is a good time to call her.

Is this step at all necessary? But I am afraid if I just call out of the blue, I might catch her at a weird time, and an awkward first conversation means no meet-up.
What is a better way to do this?

I would remind guys that it is possible to over saturate the market with lines, but keep in mind new women register for dating sites every single day! Ok so i tested this out on Cupid... copy and pasted this pretty much word for word (tailoring it a bit for each girl) i haven't got one reply and i sent it to about 10 girls.

Scripted templates won't work unless it's a Stupid Boring Profile that says virtually nothing. If a lady has said some decent things in her profile and/or has offered some good photos to comment on, an opening message has to be personalised in some way, but even then, it'll still always be a numbers game.
