Same here. I was about to post a similar question but i think i'll just tag it on here!

I have great online/text/phone game. Lots of cocky/funny, neg'ing, DHV. I can really get girls to be after me, sending me sexy photos of themselves, no problems at all.

But then when it comes to face-to-face, it all goes away! I've had girls within minutes of meeting up with them ask me why i'm so quiet, where's my confidence etc.

I can easily hold up my end of an average conversation, but if it dies out then i'm left wracking my brain for the next thing to say.

I was on a date last night and the girl, picking up on this, said "i'm going to sit here and wait for you to think of something to say" which instantly put me on the spot, i lost any higher value i had, and i was left mumbling and grinning like an idiot!

From this point on I felt like i was the one trying to WIN her, rather than the other way around.

I pulled it around and we're going to have a second date but i think that was mainly down to me working some kino and feeling slighly more comfortable so I was working in some light negs.

But yes, do people have a mental list of questions or things to say when their meeting someone? How do you keep the conversation, flowing, and escalating?

Sorry for the semi-thread hijack, but do you feel the same? Is this what happens to you?

You have to get over the stage of simple small-talk.
You need to really build a connection and rapport in a situation of a date or something where you can't just do something with her like dancing or anything you might took her out to.
If she tells you something don't just go; 'Ok that's cool. I did that....blah blah'
And might ask another question.
Dig deeper. Gambler basically teaches these 3 things you have to scan her statement for;
Emotions
Motivations
Charakter traits

How does she feel about what she does. Why does she do it?

Actually I still have to improve as-well at this part of game. And this really helped me a lot.

ALSO: If she gives you a short answer like if you ask her for what food she likes and she says; 'Italian.'
Don't immediately say something about it, break eye contact or make mean-less noises and start umming.
INSTEAD; Keep the eye-contact and actually this will make her think of something more to say and puts a bit pressure on her to.

Take a public speaking class, it'll do you wonders. You'll shy from conversation anxiety also, which is a huge benefit. Depending on your age, where you've been, what you've seen, witnessed, etc... you have plenty to talk about. What do you talk about with your friends? Learn to lead the conversation, talk about the weather, make up a bullshit story, talk about bullshit, and then tell her it's bullshit, she'll get a laugh out of it. Women will talk about anything, just take their story and turn it around, add more action to it. Most of all, be creative. Make her feel like she's there, don't just say "Last night I went to the market with my friend and bought milk," instead try something like, "I received a call from my friend last night. She begged me to go to the market with her because she didn't want the insomniacs to "kidnap" her, so as she picked me up the look on her face was priceless, I was dressed in my SPAM outfit that I had for Halloween last year. On the drive to the market I got her to do the SPAM theme with me with the windows down and the look on everyone's faces were like the confused look your mother would give you when she couldn't figure out who ate the last cookie. We made our trip through the grocery store in the "bat mobile cart," and successfully picked the milk, on the way to the car the bag ripped and the milk spilt all over! The moral of the story is to make sure the clerk double bags."

Okay don't really say that, I just made that up but you get the point, lol.

I have a great book that helped me with that

"How to Talk to Anyone- 62 little tricks for big success in relationships- Leil Lowndes"

I have the audio book, it has 70 odd tracks all a couple of minutes long and they each explain a principle of "how to talk to anyone" just put it on your iPod and when you have a spare hour listen to it :)

That book is pretty popular in the PUA field, it's actually 92 tricks, not 62 :P

I haven't gotten around to it, but what you should do is check out this episode on YouTube, search "Keys to the VIP." They discontinued the show but it's interesting to see how quick these guys can come up with openers.

Alright lads!

I'm not sure if it was mystery or style but i remember one of them suggesting saying something along the lines of:

"beauty is common.......what have you got going for you apart from your looks?"

I field tested it out twice and it definitely gets a conversation based on them going, it also acts kindda like a neg at the same time.

I suppose the art to it lies more in how you say it, half jokingly but still as a genuine question. Maybe also start triangular gazing as you ask it.

x

That "Beauty is common..." is Mystery. I heard it a long time ago and have used it a lot - gets plenty of good reactions. And I use it seriously, not in a C&F way.

I have a backup for any conversation I have. The last resort is to simply say "Play-Doh!", and that will be enough to start conversation and at least be better than bumbling around and muttering. Alternatively, whistle the theme tune to Disney's Robin Hood.
I don't think you really have to be that good at talking to converse with a woman - they'll talk about ANYTHING.
Another point is to listen properly, that way you can pick out parts of her conversation which you like to pick on or have a good knowledge of/interest in.
