I've began reading about pick up a few months ago.
Until now I have not gonne out as much as I wanted, mainly due to lack of friends at the same mindset, or with spare time or whatever. Going all alone the first times requires a very strong frame, and the fall, after some rejections could be high, I think

Anyway, the otherday out of nowhere I simply added a friend (never seen her before) of a friend of mine on facebook.
She accepted, a bit to my surprise, and I promptly began the game, commenting on the foto I added her for. Here's the story


Me: Why is your picture upside down?!
(Foto: 90º degree's around, beautiful green eyes)
Her: It's not upside down xD
Me: Half upsided. not one side nor the other.. even worse..
Her: "worse"?
Me: That's what I said
That way I had to get all twisted to see it, If it were full upside I wouldn't have bothered/tried
Her: eheh you could have not tried.. a person can no longer be different.. xD
Me: Sure it can, but difference has a price
Her: what price?
Me: You know it well. Few people give themselves the trouble of fliping the computer screen to see a mere image.
Well, Monday we continue the conversation
Her: lol

I was surprised and rushed from talking this way with her with us not knowing eachother from anywhere. It seemed so simple and great

Her answers were fast. Between my first comment her comment and my second one a day passed, (me and her offline) the rest took like 40 minutes.
Opinions are welcome to whatever it was good, or could have changed. What I sub-communicate, and what was in her mind.

I was thinking say nothing until wednesday (our convo was on friday night) or just until something come along. Or should I think of a good story to begin this again?
Do I have a chance? Am I overanalizing all this stuff?

You're dragging the opener wayyy too long, it shouldn't be no more than two lines. Change the subject and move on. I've actually opened a random girl on Facebook who'm I thought was gorgeous, and I did carry it on a little, but it didn't drag, at least not that I'd think... I'll copy and paste it for some ideas. It was a long one, and we ended up exchanging contact info, but I'll cut it short to the opener.

Actually I am, just running low on energy. (:

i'll have to hold you on that offer. whenever you're up for that challenge we're taking our date to chucke cheese, gotta see what you're really made of.

I became stressed commenting on her foto. I began to think of how to close and when would she became bored and stop responding, so I ejected the conversation.
And now, what would you do?


edit: it's funny, re-reading the messages I see it. I haven't walked out of the comfort zone of the opening. At the time it seemed like I was jumping of a cliff.. lol

I talked to her via messages, then we exchanged numbers to text. Put it this way bud, she's on Facebook, along with a million other women. If you mess up, move on... why bother stressing about what you're going to say on her photo? You have to be yourself, don't try to act like someone else you can't be, because if things do get serious and you meet, imagine how much you'd really freeze (especially since you're freezing on Facebook). Just think before you talk, don't think too hard, but try to be cocky-funny if you can. You can enter the cocky/funny field easily by watching YouTube comedians, the stuff they show on Comedy Central is a great start. Don't comment on all of her photos, because it'll show you as needy. Comment on something that can bring a funny neg to her, if you see her holding a bunch of cash spread out in a picture she looks beautiful in, just tell her you read in the headline news this morning someone robbed the bank on main street, and they're looking for the robber, if she doesn't let you in on the loot you'll turn her ass in. Just be playful with her, girls love it. As long as you can bring out jokes, but be serious with her on the side note, she definitely won't forget you. Make sure you give her a nickname, that's what I usually do, women never forget me by that.
