Write up your stuff, come prepared to sarge, then sarge. One, two, three. You're the clown who just goes into a set looking for oppurtunities, and may get lucky once in awhile. While PUA's go into a set CREATING oppurtunites.
No one said you cant do that. Also a long time before pua, people - humans- sometimes spoke to people they had never met before. They were not clowns either. Everyone knows a planning is good, but you've gotta DO that plan at some point.
I might be wrong but it looks like Fin is just saying that inner game comes from actions not from pen and paper.

PU is similar to public speaking. If you're speaking in a public event, and the topic is global warming, and you haven't prepared yourself... you will be nervous while speaking. Now, if you've already done your research, practice your speech in front of a mirror a few times, then go up there... it's amazingly easier.
Once you've delivered your global warming speech a good number of times, then you don't even need to prepare for your next speech. (Your next set) You can just walk up there and deliver. (naturals)
