| Offline | | MPUA Forum Enthusiast | Joined: Thu Apr 07, 2011 4:06 am Posts: 38 Location: US | | so recently i realized something that i cant figure out. im in college and when im just walking around i typically make eye contact with alot of people because i like experimenting with it and interpreting reactions. anyhow ive noticed that sometimes when walking in the direction of a girl who is standing still (waiting for someone, talking on the phone, whatever) she will turn her back. i interpret this to mean that she does not want to be approached but i wonder if theres a possibility that it could be that she wants you to check her out? I know its a stretch.
Opinions are welcome and anyone else whos noticed this is welcome to discuss as well.

It's hard to judge body language with out the rest of the components, if their eyes gauge you up they could simply be defensive towards you. If they bow their heads or pretend they didn't see it I would probably call them shy and not used to your direct eye contact.
You must also remember body language is in it's self a language like every other. Each ethnic background carries across it's own meaning, like some cultures feel direct eye contact is a challenge and may feel threat tend by it.
