Hey guys. I'm 22 and just started learning this PUA stuff. I just finished watching the PUA Season 2 and it really inspired me.

I've been thinking of some openers...

"What film does this come from? 'Nobody puts baby in the corner'"?

"Who do you think lies more; guys or girls?"

"Do you think it's bad if a person answers their phone during sex?" (this was found from somebody on here).

I imagine I would start off with something like... "Can I ask you girls a question? I can't stay long because my friend is waiting, but is a Jaffa Cake a cake or a biscuit?"

I'm looking to try out a routine this Friday.

Thoughts please guys :)

I like the jaffa cake one. I quite like to be a little more forceful with these types of openers too. Also, I'd rather fall on the side of being argued with because it extends the conversation.

"Hey I need someone to knock some sense into my friend. Tell him a jaffa cake is a biscuit and not a cake"

At which point she'll probably agree with my wing :P

I think there's some more similar ones: is a penguin a biscuit or a chocolate bar? etc...

Nobody puts Baby in the corner was a line used by a guy on the second season of Pickup Artist. He used it EVERY SINGLE TIME he opened and from what I saw, it didn't quite work as a good opener.

Him: Opener
Girls: I dunno
Him: Dirty Dancing!
Girls: Oh... ok..

or

Him: Opener
Girls: Dirty Dancing!
Him: Yeah *goes to high five*
Girls: *reluctant* *hestitates* *high five*

Never really liked the girls vs guys lie line, I don't use openers that deal with sex before I build rapport and I have no idea what a jaffa cake is, but assume that it's something you can find in the UK. If it's something common and anyone can relate to it, then I guess that could be a good opener.

One thing I tend to do on opinion openers is never ask to ask a question.

Instead of
Can I ask you a question?
Can I get your opinion?

Try:
Let me ask you a question.
Let me get your opinion.

To me one seems like I'm asking for permission as the other is me telling you I'm going to ask you a question or to give me your opinion.
