Hi all,

Even though am getting better at girls, my friends always discourage me. Admittedly am not a tall macho muscular guy. I am what everyone would call a kinda shy, nice guy. But i have a few friends, one of them is a player, others are kinda geeky. If I tell them I am going to a bar to meet girls, they say Oh i dont think u have a chance with them. Some tell me "From ur personality, I dont think those girls will like u". my player friend tells ' i dont think u are going to hook up with girls. etc etc..they say this right to my face all the time. And I dont have much experience being around girls or showing off to prove that I can get hot girls. So I get annoyed and frustrated, and it does damage to my inner game. I know this is silly, but do u guys have such friends who discourage u with women? I am tired of people telling me I cant get girls, I have been hearing it for few years now. How can I make these guys shut up?I cant tell them to fuck off or be rude, they r good nice friends. They just think I cant get girls

seriously, if they're being negative either ignore them or tell them to get fucked. do what you want to do, dont let others drag you down.

Sometimes a change of perspective helps.

For instance: Your buddy who's an AMOG feels threatened by your predatory behavior. His response is to put you down to bring himself up. (That's not me trying to make you feel better. I see examples of this behavior daily.)

Assume greater confidence.

You "geeky" friends are probably too scared to attempt something like that themselves. Your "player" friend probably feels threatened or is trying to goad you into proving him wrong.

Just because you are a self titled geek doesn't mean you can't pick up women! I would consider myself a geek/dork (whats the difference again) i'm not some sort of genius but I do love comics/video games/ccgs/minis/rpgs/etc and i STILL game and close ALL the time. I just don't present that as the first thing I feel a girl should know right away or at all.

Now i'm not necessarily hiding that aspect of myself, but I am not going to waste time explaining my hobbies with girls that i feel are disposable. I have had girls come over my house to hook up look around my room and pick up a miniature that i painted. The first time it happened I didn't think a girl would notice but she just looked at it and said "wow you painted this? thats amazing! i would never have the patience" asked me a few questions then we proceeded to f close =)

Read up a bit on this site improve your social game and SHOW don't tell your friends that you IN FACT can pick up girls.

Damn, are those your friends? If there serious about it, then get some new ones. My friends might say that, but we all laugh it off afterwards. If there not joking, you got some friend-issues.

Simple bits of advice -

1: Do what you want to do, your life live it YOUR way.

2: Be who you want to be!!!

3: Don't let your friends get to you, sometimes they are doing this as a defence because they are afraid you'll abandon them, or make them look weaker, it's at this point you start to help them with little bits of advice.
