| So, I was at work a few weeks ago and one of my co-workers spotted a very attractive latina woman browsing through our department. My co-worker looks to me, smiles coyly and says, "She looks like she could use some help." This woman looked amazing. She was very pretty, with dark hair, a nice tan and a very sexy, athletic and curvy body. She was all wrapped up in business attire, with a skirt revealing her sensuous legs running down to a pair of nice heels. I ran my usual game on her, started out professional, then eased into some jokes and then lighthearted teasing, especially about how clumsy she was. I high fived her and bumped her to break the touch barrier. Couldn't risk too much since I was working. She was so much fun to talk to. She was clever, sarcastic and had an overactive imagination just like I do. We were like two kids together. Before she left, I asked her out for coffee and she seemed to hesitate for a moment, but then agreed and gave me her number. I found out why she seemed reluctant. Apparently she has an on-and-off ex-boyfriend who she's not completely ready to move on from just yet. I told her I am the most patient person she will ever meet and that i'm not looking to rush into anything. I emphasized that I just wanted to get to know her. Well, we have been texting almost every day since and it's been very flirtatious. She keeps agreeing to see me, but then, at the last minute, she backs out because of the ex still being in the picture. Today, she blew me off again after I invited her to a party. She said, "I'm sorry. Me and the ex are on friendly terms again and i'd feel guilty if I saw you. That's the only thing causing me to have second thoughts about seeing you." Finally, I just said, "This is the last time i'm asking you out romantically, so make sure he's worth you blowing that. We can still be friends though. You can be my new little sister." We texted a bit more after that and then she asks, "So, what time and where did you want to meet tonight anyway?" I told her the time and location of the party, but I followed up with, "Did you change your mind or something? If you don't go then i'm taking someone else." Still waiting on a response from that one.
I swear, it seems like I can have sex with any girl I have no real romantic interest in, but can never date a girl I really like. Is there some higher force at work here? I mean, am I asking for too much of a life?
