Hey guys, just need a quick opionion but....

Is smoking a big turnoff for girls and will it put me at a disadvantage with them? Or does it give them the positive bad boy vibe?

Smoking is not a dominant trait. It smells and it gives you bad breath, teeth and fingers. Unless you look like John Travolta in Grease, don't smoke.

Depends on the girl. Saying that most girls are not going to find smoking attractive. The girls that will or be okay with it will be generally smokers them selves.

I smoke a cigarette every couple of days-type-deal. Most girls are ok with that because I step outside, you know, it's like fuckit, it's Saturday morning. I'm gonna go out have a cup of coffee and smoke a cigarette (more like half a cigarette). They see I'm not a feind. Which is important. But there are those who still do not like it. I can go months without.

I'm a smoker. I used to hide it from non-smoker girls or just not smoke around them etc. I also quit a couple of times for longer periods of times, but it never lasted.
So now I don't apologize for being a smoker, it is who I am, if she doesn't like it, fuck her :D
I will quit smoking when I feel like it, not because she doesn't like it.
It does help to have some Airwaves Extreme around, and maybe some wet perfumed tissues for your hands if the smell bothers her that much. And I do step outside to smoke if it's prohibited in the venue we're at or if we're at her place. If we're at my place, I will smoke inside, but sit near an open window so I don't expose her to passive smoking. I do respect non-smokers for their decision not to smoke. Some girls are not bothered, but if they are, I respect that and will go outside. But I enjoy smoking, especially when having a drink, so she must accept it's a part of my lifestyle.

I realized, I haven't really answered your question LOL :) With some girls it might have a negative impact, but it can also be used to emphasize how alpha you are and don't care what she thinks about you. I have a HB10 friend who is really bothered by smoke, but she's dated smokers. She says, she prefers non-smokers, but if he's a smoker, well fuckit. So I think if she's attracted to you, she'll tolerate it.

Find a way to make it work in your favor instead of being a DLV. Cigarettes are pretty much always assosciated with trashyness, but cigars are considered classy. Winston Churchill comes to mind. In other words, if you wanna smoke, smoke little cigars (that are really cigarettes with a different image) like Prime Times, Al Capones, or Black N Milds. If you aren't a regular smoker, one of these here or there should do the job.

i'd think more girls would be turned off by smoking than be attracted to it

You can usually tell if they smoke. I smoked for 4 years, now just socially. If they just had one, you'll smell it. If they ask, say socially. If they don't, don't say anything. Besides, everyone likes non-smokers. There are some that don't care, and like smokers but play it safe. If they light one up, bingo.

Of all the best "naturals" I know, nearly every one of them smokes. I think it does have something to do with the "bad boy" appeal. It seems as though most girls aren't attracted to smoking per se, but they are attracted to guys who smoke.

I know that if a girl is a consistent smoker, like 10 cigs a day type, I will not be attracted to her...gross...so, I would guess it is the same for many women...not all though...

Seems to me like there's no disadvantage to not being a smoker. Non-smoking girls would prefer it, and smoking girls wouldn't mind. I think the bad boy factor would depend on the specific chick.

Smoking had a badboy factor about twenty years ago.

Now it just has the "yay, look at me, i'm a cancer patient!" factor.

Girls under the age of 25 LOVE it, along with tattoos, and the ability to fix cars.

People who smoke are looked at as experienced - they've been through some shit, and they're taking on life one day at a time. People who have never smoked are looked as "goody-two shoes." At least, this is how it is where I live, and all of this changes once they start to mature.

Like drug use and suicide, younger girls tend to romanticize the shit out of it.
