Hello everyone,

I'm ?uestion, an aspiring PUA from Philly. I just stumbled onto this forum today and I decided to get involved.

I got into the game about 2 months ago, when I read Strauss' book "The Game." It changed the way I've been looking at social situations. Ever since, I've been passively trying to pursue different techniques.... but I'm flying solo.... and have to battle the old brain, which has made it tough.

I look forward to meeting you all and I can't wait to get started.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I'm still navigating through the site, so I'm not sure where to put this..... but I had a situation that happened yesterday that I'd like advice and it should give you an idea of my strengths and weaknesses.

So, former co-worker Katie runs into me outside of my university tech center yesterday. Conversation goes something like this.

?uestion: Hey Katie
Katie: Hey. Long time no see..... what have you been up to?
?uestion: Not much. I'm being a huge nerd this semester.
Katie: Me too!! You should come over and we should do homework together... although I don't have internet at my house right now
?uestion: Its Okay, we'll get some old leather books and I'll read to you in a scottish accent.
Katie: (laughs) yeah that would be great...I'm going in to do work, text me when your leaving.
?uestion: Okay, Seeya.
(we live in close proximity to one another... which is also far away from my U)

Text conversation as follows:

?uestion: Ay, I'm about to head out. You tech-ing it for a while?
Katie: Na I'm on my way home already
?uestion: Thanks for letting me know. Now I gotta take the scary old subway all by myself. If I get raped its your fault.
Katie: Lol! Well your welcome to come over and tell me all about it!!
?uestion: Stop Fantasizing Katie!... I need to go home and eat lunch. If you want you can be a nerd here, where we have this cool invention called the internet.
Katie: Lol, word, I might actually do that. I need to eat too.
?uestion: Your welcome to my food, but I have a weird ass diet.... Butternut squash soup?? lol
Katie: lol I don't know if I ever heard of that.
?uestion: Well.... I got some... But it'll cost ya.
Katie: Lol, man I don't know if I can afford that
?uestion: It is fine dining, but I work on the barter system.

(I already realize the glaring mistakes)... I get no response...4 hours later

?uestion: Hey, I thought I was reading you biochem in my Sean Connery voice?!

(missed call)

I'm a dumbass and left my phone in the other room for an hour. I called her back an hour later but got no answer. How would you proceed?? There was obviously something there, although I did my best to eff it up.... any help would be wonderful.
