Was just thinking about it while at a bar last night.. Any bartender really.

The opener is there duh, but she is working and busy.

Youd be surprised how far a good tip gets you.

Making fun of the annoying drunks and making her laugh are always good ways to start.

I picked a bartender up by chance one night. I was at a hotel with some friends and we went down to the bar. I dont drink so I was ordering bottled water. I tipped well and ordered my friends a round of shots at one point and bought one for her to take.

It was a Friday night and packed.

The next night I went downstairs and was by myself to watch the game on tv. She smiled when she saw me and spent most of the night trying to spark up conversation with me. It was pretty slow. It picked up around 10ish. I asked for the check, paid and left my number (usually a big no-no). She text me right after close. I told her I wasnt at my room yet and was still out but was on the way back. She met me at the room. She showered. We fucked. We passed out. I woke up in the morning to a text saying 'let me know if you stay another night'

I didnt, but maybe I should have.

Yeah be a good tipper but there is a fine line. Don't be stingy with your tip, but also make sure you don't get sucked into showering her with massive, inappropriate gratuities. You want to tip enough for her to notice but not to the point where you look like a try-hard d-bag.

I think laying the groundwork earlier in the night is key because she hasn't been approached by 1,000,000 drunk punks and she is more willing to have casual convo.
I wouldnt be hitting on a heap of other girls in the bar just because she is sober, at the bar and if you've done a good job with establishing rapport then she'll have her eye out.

Eventually, when you 'feel it' (dont wait all night and dont do it within the first 5 mins of her shift) then go in with that line you said you have down-pat. Maybe even tell her your leaving and ask her what she does during the day -> coffee etc, grab her number.
