Hi All,

I'm new to this PUA business so excuse my ignorance and I'll keep this short and sweet for you.

This temp receptionist at work I like is leaving at the end of this week. I've got her as a friend on facebook but don't have her number. I want to ask her for her number but I know I shouldn't outright ask, from reading the game.

What should I do?

There is more information I can and want to give but for now I want to keep this short. Will post more later.

She laughs at everything I say. Also I notice when I'm sat at my desk and she walks past as we casually talk she won't go she'd come and sorta do a little crouch next to me for a few minutes then say "I better get back to work"

We have an in-work IM and I said something like a neg on it and she put a crying face, so I posted a pizza smiely and said "here you go"

She said, I want a real pizza. You should buy me one. She then quickly said "I'm going to get some pizza with everyone from work as a leaving thing"

So I said if I were to buy her pizza it would have to be just for her (but something a bit better than that, I can't remember the exact wording but basically didn't seem like a cheapskate and said I'll buy her one sometime and she said "that would be nice!"

make her jump through your hoops a little more... like if she said to buy her a pizza i'd say something like this...

Her: "i want a real pizza... you should buy me one!"
Me: "haha oh should i now??? hmmm... well how about we make a deal... we'll go get pizza together (my shout) but before we do that... you have to give me one compliment... if its a shitty non unique compliment then you wont be getting anything! but if its a goooooood one... ill pay "

ok so i seriously think she's only playing around with you by saying "you should buy me one!" i dont think she actually wants you to buy her one or if she does then she's shit testing you to see how much she can get away with lol... so what i did in that example was make her do something for ME first... and as a reward for her complying ill pay for the pizza... understand?

i do shit like this with just about everytime they ask me for something... works well... shows you're not a sheep and its a DHV

Thanks mate that is some really simple, good advice! I'm gonna go with this mentality and update you on how it has gone. 2 more questions:

AI said she is leaving in a week - how do I go about getting her number? I'd rather not ask for it in RL, let alone on facebook. But is there a way to get it without asking? I know in The Game (really need to read it again, got the book but forgot it all!) you can say something like "What steps should we take to continue this conversation at another time?" - but I don't think this will work with someone who I see almost everyday at work for 3 weeks?
