I know it comes from insecurity when kids (16-23) try to put others down to make themselves feel better but it still pisses me off...I've never been picked on but I hate fighting and when kids try to act hard I could think of a thousand things they are doing wrong to get the reputation they want, but the thing is everyone does it so I feel like an outcast and I get pissed off because I know if I told them they were being bitches and showing their insecurities they wouldn't understand, and this mostly goes for kids with perfect lives that try to act hard..I guess what I'm asking is does anyone else feel this way and what can I do to just not care when people try to intimidate others to get respect?? thanks.

yep, i'm 30+

when i was 18-20 i basically ran a criminal enterprise as a coke dealer. i won't go into specifics (see: statute of limitations) and i rolled with bikers, gang members, cartel members, etc. virtually all of my old friends run their blocks inside prisons around here right now. i dropped out of the game over ten years ago, cold.

but yeah, i get this attitude from "kids" when i'm out and about. could be walking into the grocery store and these little "punks" try to act hard to me, they don't know i used to pack a 357, run from the cops on a regular basis, and can scrap farely well.

but kids that age are all about image. they think they are tough because their pants are saggy, or their music is gangster, or they have neat facial hair (lol). they don't understand that YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU ARE FUCKING WITH. i just ignore them.

No one takes these punks seriously. Everyone knows they're full of shit, including the punks themselves, which is why they're so insecure. They're extremely predictable and easy to read, which means that they aren't hard to manipulate to your advantage, like clay.
