I would go for the first one.

The second one is a bit meh... Could work on a good friend of her.
But why opening a other girl then the target to tell she is hot?
Would be more Alpha to directly open your target.

as in TOTAL direct ...

You can go to the group, stare the target right in eyes,
and give her a very strong GENUINE compliment.

"Hey ... I usually never do this but I just had to come here and tell you ...

You have the most touching voice / look / eyes / whatever I've ever seen."

I know this contradict a lot of gaming theory, but hear me out on this.

This works. Very, very well.

Here's why.

It's day game. defense mechanism is down.

Unlike 99% of guys out there, you give a GENUINE compliment.

Not some goofy "Hey u kinda cute can I have your number ..." crap

Now,

after you delivered your compliment to the target,
turn to the rest of the group.

Now you say something like

"Ok you guys will probably determine if I'll have a shot
with her or not.

Nice too meet you. I'm george. Sorry if I don't have any nice
things to say to you as well.

I was completely hooked with your friend's smile / look / eyes / voice here.

By this point you face the target and say something like:

"Didn't catch your name there"

and put your hand forward for greetings.

Now a couple of things here

A - This takes a lot of "cohones" to pull off.
B - This approach makes groups almost freeze. Don't confuse this with them rejecting you.

As long as you are genuine. The compliment is real. You are being youself.

This WILL work.
