I am just wondering who goes out alone to get better at pick...

I feel its required to go out alone to get good

builds confidence because no matter what you can go out and have fun.

even if you only talk to dudes, you can meet some cool people

it is so liberating and i suggest everyone do it at least a few times

All the time. I'd prefer to go out with friends, but when we do we're really not on the same page so they can't really help wing me. I can go out by myself whenever and just know I'm going to have fun without even questioning because I know I'm a fun guy. The only downside is you have to somehow try and display value without any friends there and its smart to do early in the night, otherwise you'll look a little out of place. Knowing the DJ's, bartenders, security guards, and other regulars there can help a lot, so if you become a regular at a particular place its easy to go in there alone and still know a lot of people. Then you can open guy sets to maybe meet some cool people, or open a few girl sets (preferably by the bar or entrance which is a high traffic area) so people will see that which will raise your value and you'll have people coming up to you all night without even trying.

great post vizionn... the key is to get into a set right away. The will usually ask are you there by yourself, and you can answer however you feel fit. I've said yes before, and I've said I just left getting dinner with some friends who have work early and I decided to grab a drink...

If you get into a set right away, even if they are not great looking, or even women... no one else knows that your there by yourself.

I voted no because I have never been before.. I would just feel weird/loser going to a bar alone..

I just went out alone...I felt VERY weird. If only I had the balls to pull the trigger. Total AFC feeling, the thing is I tried. Now I know what its like and will keep going out alone.

I was walking away from the bar because I felt like a idiot. So as I was walking down this alley, I saw this girl getting on her bike...I asked her for a lighter cause I saw she was smoking, asked her what she was doing blah blah she told me where she was going...did I invite myself along like I could of? nope. GOD!

went out alone last night, met some cool people including this guy and gf and his friend who bought me all my drinks. refused to let me get them back. was a dive bar on a thursday night, so the pickings were slim. was looking for a slump buster if anything, so opened a few sets - my skills are very rusty.

number closed a girl on a "girls night" that I wasn't even trying to number closed (was hoping for some easy action to be honest). don't know if i'd even try for a day 2, because honestly she was below my sober standards.

it wasn't the disaster I thought it was going to be - as i've never really gone out alone before and haven't really been out to a bar with the intent of sarging much either.

Thats the cool part of going out alone, you can totally bomb and IT DOESNT MATTER. Not that it matters anyway but you can try anything and tomorrow is a new day.

Timbo - props for going out, it takes balls just to go out alone. I like to mentally prepare myself before I go out. Put yourself in that mental state where you know your going to see an opportunity before you get to it. Then when your walking to the bar or whatever envision yourself taking action, have a canned opener just in case, and be there mentally before your there physically.

Andy - again props for going out alone. you can go out and meet cool guys too. the other night i went out and ended up meeting a dj, which is a great person to know.

yeah after I posted my last post, I was just like fuck it! im going back out.(I live in walking distance to all the bars) so I went back out, met this group of girls. It was suppose to be 80's night and they weren't playing any 80's music, so I asked them what happen to 80's night. They all reacted right away and were into me. Then I invited myself to sit down introduced my self asked everyones names. Then I sat and talked about the 80's with one of girls who was about a 7, I told her I couldn't find my friends, I talked to her for about 10 mins, I could tell she was feeling me, we had a pretty good conversation. Then the whole group got up to dance, then I danced with the whole group. I think the one girl I was talking to got weirded out like, who the hell is this guy and where are his friends? lol! so then I walked around the bar, blew 2 other openers. Then I just fuck it, I did what I wanted to accomplish im out! I walked home feeling pretty accomplished.

For only my second night going out and really trying to open sets, going out alone is pretty crazy, I still cant believe I did it.
