Well alright... I don't have to tell you that it's all in your head, you probably already know this... but then it's either what Jits138 said...
...or the fact that in clubs you can build positive social momentum (e.g. warm-up approaches) to get lose and into social mode (and out of your head, and just be spontaneous), and when you're in college you're not doing that, you're thinking/worrying too much.
And maybe even judging yourself harshly which puts you in a negative state ("Oh man, she looked at me and I didn't approach I'm such an idiot", or "I said this and that, that was stupid, I'm such a fool", etc). Whereas in nightgame you don't really think about it.
See for yourself what the different thought patterns are between when you're in the club and in college, this will help you figure it out.
