Sarging this girl, going great and was about to transition to another party (up familiarity with her).

We've been drinking at a party and as we were talking she asked me: "so what are you looking for, a hookup or something more?"

I was totally taken aback cause i wasnt expecting this question but i said "I'm down for whatever"

Anyone other ideas for what I could have said?

Depending on how she said it, it may have been an IOI. Dismissing a question with an air of "I will settle for whatever" is not a good place to be. I agree that you should have said what you were looking for.
On a bright side, now you are prepared :)

Totally agree with begal. What are you looking for? A hook up? LTR?

Might as well tell her. If she's not looking for the same thing, then she still probably wont be later that night.

Plus, honesty is my favorite way of flirting. That mixed with a bit of humor is the perfect match.
