I'm a high school student (grade 11) and I find one of the most awkward situations is when you and a girl are walking towards each other in the hall and no one else is there. This happens mostly during class and I have to leave the classroom for whatever reason. The halls are empty except that one girl.
So my question is how to look confident, happy, and alpha to this girl who I may find attractive? I find mos people pull out their cell/iPod to avoid eye contact. How do I walk? Where do I look? Should I say anything?
Also, I try to make eye contact with attractive girls but I find they look away immediately, as though they are shy. What should I do about that?
Thanks guys.

Look away and just before you pass her, look at her again. If she's not too shy she will look back or at least she will notice you looking at her. Though keep a posture as you continue walking, since in most cases she will look at you a last time when you have turned around.
