Went on a day 2 yesterday in a bar. During the day 2 we were vibing and getting on really well. Intill about an hour in, a drunk guy appears at our table and when i mean drunk i mean struggling to stand! When he appeared he demanded i looked after his beer whilst he goes to the toilet?!!!!! No idea what to do so i just agreed, right or wrong? I then joked about it saying what a mess and how i would never do that.

After 15 minutes he re-appears and starts trying to talk to us, havent had much experience with amogging or dealing in this situation. I didnt know how to react. After one of his drunken slurs i ended up laughing :s. Possibly the biggest mistake i could of done, he stopped talking put down his beer and clenched his fist! There was silence for around 10-15 seconds felt like minutes. In the end i just went "Hey im having a bit of a private conversation at the moment i' ll talk to you later,". Too which he replied okay im going out for a spliff do i want any?!?! I seriously couldnt believe this not only is he fucking up my day 2 hes now offering me drugs? I responded with no i dont like drugs and i dont want any. Whilst staring angrily. He then left.

This whole situation messed up my vibe and i couldnt really get into the swing of things again :s.

Is there a way to deal with drunk people/amogs without being aggressive or looking like lower value?

How would you react in this situation?

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

I would think the experience would have helped things since you both were put in a weird situation that you both can relate to, then just joke and make fun about it after he leaves ect. Then you move on with the rest of your day 2 shortly after like nothing happened. It'd be different if he threatened you with a gun or a knife or something traumatizing like where it would be hard to recover psychologically but from what you said it wasn't like that.

If I were in that situation, I don't know if I would have done anything much different than you did except maybe a little more friendlier and I would have politely dismissed myself and my date and gone somewhere else with her if he stuck around too long. When people are that drunk, they are inhibited and not in control of their emotions so anything can be taken the wrong way and agitate the easily that would they would normally control, so that's why I find being friendly no matter the circumstance the best way out of a drunk situation or any such situation. If you were more hostile then you might have gotten in a fight unintentionally with him ect.

One time I was in a similar situation at a party except it wasn't a day 2 and this girl I was talking to asked for my number, then her bf or ex or whoever took her away and he got all mad and gave me a shove ect. (everyone was a little drunk) so I just said hey I didn't know and extended my hand and said peace and he complied and that was that. I think it appears more alpha to do that than to fight back like a thug unless I needed to defend myself. Otherwise I'm sure it would have escalated into a fight. I wasn't that afraid since I was bigger than he was but still, I probably would have been asked to leave.
