I've been texting this girl off and on for the past week. I met her on facebook, she lives in my area but goes to college hours away. We texted for a bit but I asked her yesterday if she's ever up to talking on the phone or if she is phone shy. Just teasing her. Since she originally asked to move from facebook to the phone (I was talking to her as a friend first since she was listed as in a relationship at the time but is no longer) I thought she would have said she'd definitely like to talk on the phone sometime this weekend.

However she said

Her: it's not that i'm phone shy but I just like talking in person and texting over the phone...don't really know why.

I had a gf who was the same way years ago and I just hated that and it ended pretty badly. I would never hear her voice ect


What do you guys think I should do?

It's just that I'm more effective on the phone. I'm a good texter but I couldn't ONLY text in a relationship with any girl. So now I guess it's all text game which kinda sucks. I'm running into more and more girls who only prefer to text than talk. Weird huh.

She explicitly said she prefers talking face to face - so make that happen. Just use text to set up the date.

Maull3r... just because you have got along with girls who will put out on the first date doesn't mean they are all like that. That's not bad, but you can't see all girls as one personality type. No this is not a shit test, she's actually shy. No one can just "bang" a shy girl on the first date, she will just not be comfortable with it.

Maybe I overlooked something? It occurred that maybe she just likes having text buddies? Could those IOI's have been mis-interpreted? I know everyone told me her asking to text and her responding and everything are def IOI's but girls can lead guys on sometimes.
