Hey guys!

I'm hoping someone has had a little experience with this and can give me some insight. Here's the issue:

I've been out with this girl (solid HB9 to me) a few times & it's obvious that she's into me. The issue is that she's REALLY self conscious. So much so that it's starting to become a bit of a nuance as I try to escalate things. She says it's because she's nervous around me (maybe because she likes me so much?). Not sure if there's some history behind this (ie- controlling & demeaning past boy friends, daddy issues, etc) but I'm guessing there must be. Anyway, how can I help put this girl at ease around me?

Ugly duck syndrome! I love these situations.

Do not over-neg her. Be very complimentary and borderline AFC. She clearly likes you already and wants your approval. Don't mind fuck her, clearly guys have done that to her in the past and she has a strong shield as a result.

Be nice to her (in a charming way, not a pussy way) and go in for the move. If I'm reading it correctly, that's all you'll need to do

You're dead on 2surgical! That's been my approach from the get go and it's evident that's what she wants.

The odd thing is that she's hot as hell (never been an ugly duckling), has a ton of friends, and guys hit on her relentlessly. She definitely attracts a lot of attention when we go out & she handles it well. I just can't see why someone with such a high social IQ would be so shy in intimate situations. She's wide open, no topic off limits when texting but the complete opposite face to face...
