i think you've explained a trait so fundamental to most women it's as natural as boobs and butts.

I get it, but you should sanity check what you're "not interested in."

• Not interested in chicks with stupid, rigid ideas about gender roles? Does that matter to you?
• Not interested in mental midgets with a one syllable vocabulary?
• Not interested in chicks who don't make any effort?

I find all of these qualities unattractive; HOWEVER, I take in a lot more information about a person before making those decisions. I don't seek to cut them off quickly, which is what you pretty much did from the get-go. A neg is to recondition her, whereas you sought to repel her. Also you went on a lot about your insecurities about why she was talking to you; don't do that. My responses would have been:

HER: hi.

ME: Hi yourself! Now I've got 2 words to your 1! Not counting that last sentence LOL.

HER: WTF????? Iv never talked to you before so why are you being so mean?

ME: I'm just kidding with you. I'm sure you've got more to say then just "hi."

HER: I wont message first, I dont belive the girl should.

ME: Interesting. Are you familiar with Feminism?

HER: [yes, no, maybe, but it's not going to be "fuck off and die"]

I actually met my current girlfriend online (whom I messaged first) but I've had mixed experience with the girls that messaged first. One good, one bad, and one disturbing.

I agree with bvanevery's responses, but damn I doubt I'd have given her much thought after that "I won't message first" crap if she's just gonna say "hi". As if a guy could do that and expect any sort of response. Ha, she does seem a little off, maybe a drama queen or something.

It is for me personally, as I screen women for intelligence. The OP seemed to be doing so as well, if his remaining attraction really did vaporize when she said what she said. "No, I don't know much about Feminism" is a potentially acceptable answer, but she would have to be bringing something else to the table. I only have a partial patience threshold for idiotic beliefs. Having a friend who believes goofy things isn't so hard, but from a date it's damn annoying.
